This game is my happy place.

Except for when everyone dies of starvation.

(Seriously, I can't express how much I love everything about this game.)

I've been looking forward to playing this game and finally picked it up on sale! I'm always looking for the next game that can scratch the same itch that Banished does and, so far, this one is pretty close! No lie, I was a bit overwhelmed at first when the training wheels came off but I started over and am playing it slow and not running as fast as the starting help is pushing me and I'm having a much better go.

Graphics are awesome, I love the different clan options and descriptions. If my opinion changes, I will update my review!

Only gripe is not being able to disable edge scrolling. Edge scrolling is the debbil!

I love this game! I'm terrible at it like thank goodness there is a flip vehicle option because driving is hard. (This is all me for being terrible at gaming but) I got excited to have enough money to finally buy a cow so I bought it then found out it couldn't fit in my small trailer so I had to walk it home at night but if you run too many steps with it it gets loose so I had to count my steps, stop, wait for cow to catch up, latherrinserepeat, then I forgot I hadn't finished cutting enough wood for its paddock so I had to lock it in the garage until I had enough built to bring it in so it had food and water and could lead it over.

I still can't afford enough cement and metal to build a house so still living in my tent. The chickens live better than me in their fancy 8 chicken coop. Which is fine except they're like cats and you have to scoop their poops out of the coops constantly.

This is only gonna get better and better and you should join the Discord so you can contribute to it.

Come be a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ lame ass chicken farmer/tree destroyer like me! You won't be sorry. Even if you get frustrated you'll still be having fun.

I adore short horror games that get you right in the feels. This was beautiful, both in story and in design. I hope you guys go on to do even more great stuff out of school!

If you like this, you will also LOVE Serena and Fingerbones if you haven't played them already. Also check out September 1999.

If you want crazy, creepy story and setting where you also sometimes have to run for your literal life, especially in places where you can barely see where you're going, you will definitely like this! I was loving it until that and basically the entire end of the game is that. Wish they would have stuck to just the puzzles and creepiness. Ultimately ruined my enjoyment and I gave up and just watched a Youtube playthrough to see how it ended.

Atmosphere so creepy and tension so taut I got goosebumps in the middle of the day! If you like creepy psychological horror, definitely worth the $13! Playable in one sitting. Love it so much!

Short but satisfying! I enjoyed the puzzles especially the music box one! I was so excited when it dawned on me what I needed to do. Had fun solving it. The one under the bathroom sink I never would have gotten without a walkthrough, but it was really cool graphically! Nice mood, music, intriguing story. Subtle touches all around you that make this a really neat world to inhabit for a while. The graphic design is also fantastic!

If you enjoyed Homesick and Layers of Fear, you will enjoy God's Basement.

This game is 1000% even more than I expected it to be IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE. Erebus, you have NAILED the creepy horror atmosphere. There were times when the tension-filled suspenseful music gave me goosebumps and nothing was even happening at that moment! The two main Classical songs chosen that carry two of the major musical themes were so well chosen.

I eagerly awaited this game's release though shamefully waited until the Summer 2020 Sale to pick it up. I'm sorry I waited so long. I CAN'T WAIT to see what else this developer has in store!

Just in case this spoils anyone My emotional reaction to the end of this is very similar to the one I had at the end of Homesick and Layers of Fear. I'm not sobbing like I was at Homesick's final reveal but just like with Homesick, there will forever be a lingering sadness that will come to mind every time I think of this game. The way the Operator's "good luck" which felt almost sarcastic throughout the game becomes a sincere kickoff to the note of hope at the end was lovely.

Great story, well done. Will definitely play again once my tears are gone and I can see again :)
