Since this game is leaving Beta (finally!), and I've dumped almost 600 hours into the game, I feel it's time to give my review.

This game is like a blend of Minecraft meets No Man's Sky, very build oriented. Over the years, this game has had EXTENSIVE updates. Every few month;s I'd hop back on and notice major changes as far as graphics, mechanics, and atmosphere (no pun intended). It started as a small solar system with archaic ways of loading a static based planet, into a grand open universe that can run in individual servers unlike the one mas open-world of No Man's Sky.

The level of detail in base and ship building gives players an almost unlimited number of ways to design a unique structure in ways not many games can compare. Being able to customize your world from a server admin standpoint, opens up a whole new world of Role Playing servers that should give rise to RP environments like Rust or DAYZ.

There's not much I can say other than this game has constantly evolved by direct user input and I feel is polished enough for me to recommend to beginners of this title. As far as my experience goes with updates, almost every gripe I've had with the game has been fixed and improved upon over the course of it's pre-release status. As long as you have a decently modern GPU equal to or greater than a GTX 970, you will have a beautiful experience among these unique worlds.

If you can get past dice roll mechanic this is the most magical and historic of the Elder Scrolls games that marks a strong entrance to a true 3D universe. Scattered throughout the game are nothing but hints about how much the development team cared about this project down to the smallest placement of objects. Even without the expansions (which I recommend to have the best experience) vanilla Morrowind holds a special place in my heart and is worth sinking an hour into just for the effect of it.

If you're an Elder Scrolls fan, this is one you must play. If you have the patience, Skywind will be out in less than 10 years, and if you can follow instructions and love Oblivion, Morroblivion is a good way to replay through. And don't forget Tamriel Rebuilt adding the entire continent of Morrowind, not just Vvardenfell. And Morrowind Rebirth, fleshing out the world a little bit to make it less "empty".

Bought it for XBox 360 on launch, then sold my Xbox 360 for upgrades to my PC to play Oblivion there. Now 10+ years later, I occasionally play it all modded out with Morroblivion and graphics enhancements. Not only does the game provide an excellent engine, the Elder Scrolls universe just has so much good story content.

One of the few games I own multiple copies of, and you should have it in your collection along with Elder Scrolls 3 and 5.
