Early Access Review
I was very surprised with how fun this is, and despite it being rough around the edges with a lot of in game mechanics and functions (given early access) its got a rewarding progression system to it and can be really addicting. I know that this game is either really liked or hated depending on viewpoints on corporate politics, debating on lazy imitation/possible AI, but you know what.... to hell with all that, if you enjoy pokemon, survivalcraft games, and wandering around in an open world you'll probably have a lot of fun with this one. The game may not have much soul or spirit put into its style or lore, but it doesn't mean its not unique. The inspirations are clear from stuff like the Switch Zelda game map style, pokemon collecting, fortnite/survival craft games. Most of these mechanics put together is what draws many to this, and looks like the devs have put out a roadmap for future potential leading up to releasing out of early access. So yeah I believe most people can have a ton of mindless fun from this, despite the overly opinionated twitter users and forum heads.

One of the best, overwhelmingly successful, and highest replay value roguelike indie games on steam. If you like the original Zelda, dungeon crawling, tons of progressions/unlocks, and psychologically screwed up themes and humor, you'll love this!

Anyone who thought they wasted their precious time with this franchise because of the "disappointing ending" are Ultimate Quackheads.

Don't listen to them, play the game and ignore all reviews (even this one). Seek something beyond truth or lies.

Game of the year material right here. Supergiant has always done a good job of balancing gameplay and story, and Hades is no exception. Soundtrack is a masterpiece and feels great when it changes due to dynamic parts or fights you're in. Even after 80 hours in the game, still find unique dialogue and conversations with characters. Great if you like action roguelikes or have played the dev's other stuff like Bastion.

Reminds me of simpler times when I used to visit my great grandmother is her dilapidated trailer in a quiet country town. The pace of the game is slow, but is meant to be that way. Progression feels nice and you'll probably like the atmosphere so much, you'd want to visit a location similar to it in the real world. The game serves a good purpose, its focus to allow you to relax and take a break from society without actually having to do it in real life.

A simple and charming platformer that anyone could pick up and play. Also comes with a funny narrarator (Stamper) who provides commentary on your actions in the game. Most folks that haven't played Alien Hominid don't know that this game is, in fact, an upgraded and inspired version of the PDA minigame from Alien Hominid. It even has that one melody from the minigame. The game is fairly short, but for a real challenge, play it on Insane mode.

Great amount of content.
Great amount of replayability.
Great amount of positive feedback.

Game generously expanded after completion and has been around for 6 + years.
What more is there to say?
