Just plain great!

Every time I pick this game back up, I wonder why I ever decided to put it down. 10/10

Played this a while back before having to put my index away for quite a few months. On returning I saw multiple comments complaining of visual downgrades and 'mobile graphics' etc that I figured were likely overblown. Given that I didn't remember the version I played all that well, I assumed I probably wouldn't really notice. I mean the store page screenshots look alright...

Nope, the graphical quality of the game is not good, and its very noticeable. It almost has a GoldSrc feel to it (think half-life), with blobby brush work, fuzzy textures, low polygon models, nothing transparent, weird foliage, a lack of atmospherics. On top of this, I found the user interface fairly buggy and experienced quite a few hang ups and freezes that left me feeling pretty nauseous and with no desire to pick the game up again after about 20mins.

I'd therefore strongly advise against buying the game in its current state, and if you already own it (and are unable to get a refund like me), id suggest now is not the time to pick it back up.

A great game in concept and execution, staggering graphics and killer fun!

This is a great game! Picked it up knowing almost nothing about it and its now one of my most played games, and i still play it on a regular basis.

Great Graphics and atmosphere, interesting and funny characters, solid L4D style game-play but exceeds and is much more than that simple comparison. A game with genuinely fun achievements to get, a difficulty system that is easy to get into but ramps up to really challenging. A gear system that makes you want to play each day to get your ideal pieces but equally doesn't feel too grindy.

On a final note, it also has a great community of players willing to help newcomers. Oh and no loot boxes.

Initially saw the mixed review score and decided to hold off until a sale. Now I've picked it up, wow... Vermintide meets Alien Isolation.

They have absolutely nailed the atmosphere and feel of a grim dark 40k. Giant churning machinery, mounds of corpses, Seroskulls galore. This coupled with really great sound design makes for a pretty intense experience. A simple campaign but one im interested in seeing through and a fun multilayer although no idea how the progression system works on it.

It does have issues such as some stuttering during large fight events but it doesnt ruin the experince (for me at least) and the progression system is a little confusing but its still a fun game to dive into.

Really great game. A somewhat steep learning curve coming from the likes of Battlefield and CS:GO but worth it. This sandbox, coupled with the dedicated modding community essentially makes every type of gameplay possible. This coupled with a developer who consistently provides both free and paid expansions makes it a game i'm still playing years later.
