Call me a jaded and neurotic overthinker, but this falls head first into the trap of "yeah homie just go in blind or else you'll risk ruining your experience", building up significantly higher expectations than the game can actually deliver on and - notably for me - no unforeseen twists whatsoever. What it does deliver, is thoroughly charming character moments, which unfortunately do little to redeem my personal experience playing it.

I bought this Out of the Blue and have basically forced myself to Raw Fury dog it in 2-3 sessions lest i knew my interest would wane enough as to never come back to it. I wish I could say it slaps, but the experience has thoroughly been a legitimate TRUDGE.

I'd ultimately feel bad not recommending this, so I'll give it a very tentative Yes, but buyer beware, if you don't enjoy yourself before the refund window is over, you're likely not to do so once you've finished the game.

as long as you're into the fundamental game loop of matching threes, it's good. you shouldnt expect this to win over anybody who doesn't find shutting their brains off and hand-eye-coordinating lines of the same pictographs a great way to pass the evening, but as long as you are into that, it wraps enough mechanics and charm around it to elevate the experience.
