Sold it to a new big dev who immediately broke it on a fundamental level. 0/10, why would anyone trust Gearbox.

Deceptive terms of service and changing of standards after months of support.

EDIT: For now, this decision has been reversed. Review has been made positive and will be restored fully should the date pass successfully.

A broken patch was rushed out for the Warhammer event. Added features just don't work, fixes in the patch notes are just outright not present (zero change was made) and now a characters campaign is broken. Patch notes also joke about not releasing for a while unless a hotfix is needed - hilarious, but no word on this hotfix. Fixes for almost all problems are in a community patch with the code public on github - any of this could be integrated at any moment by the devs but there is a clear neglect for game maintenance. A great game at its core and will revert this review if the situation changes.

Promised a final content release then left the game, leaving in bugs that can be spotted within turn 1 of starting as major playable factions.

Don't support companies that try to monopolise design concepts - it should be illegal and it is a failure of the US government to prevent it. -1/10

A classic, immersive, strategic experience. Just get a bit more real with the dlc price guys.

After having played the four major souls games, this is by far the worst. Lacking in content with a far more linear design and questionable re-balancing of mechanics, this is a massive step down in many elements from DS2 scholar.

All that being said, DS3 does have some strengths in the franchise. It has the best multiplayer and the best current major overhaul modifications. With Cinders especially, I would recommend this title. But as a base product - I would absolutely recommend DS2 Scholar over this.

A PR embargo on pre-release allowed them to hide that this DLC was not for one moment tested, entire races are now utterly broken and unplayable. Would be a good DLC otherwise but braking core game mechanics to rush out a DLC is absolutely not acceptable.

A potentially great experience ruined by forced inconvenience. Bethesda makes problems for players by putting in deliberate storage limitations and making endgame weapons break crazy fast so that they can sell you infinite material storage and weapon repair kits. If this was a free to play game that would be fine - but I have already PAID for the game and the full experience. You can say the game is not pay-to-win, but if I am forced to save my good weapons due to arbitrary weapon hp and the other player is able to use all his arsenal and just pay to have that hp stat re-set? Yes, you can absolutely pay to give yourself a real advantage. Getting repair materials is even incredibly tedious, again a product of trying to frustrate the player through wasted hours into paying up.

T,L,D,R: The game is fun when it is being a game, but so much is designed to be purposefully not fun so that you will buy the fast track content. It is disgusting for them to put that in a full price game, especially when the cosmetics and camp features are both fair and plenty lucrative enough for Bethesda.
