This relaxed exploration on a beautiful island is nearly a vacation from my usual games.
Will visit again!

This brings back memories! Marvelous digital representation of the classic board game.

Playable with up to 6 friends either online or on the big screen, or play it alone against AI opponents. Different themes are available to freshen up the visuals without changing the gameplay, and I find myself going between them all the times for variety and perhaps noticing something new in the detailed 3D rendered board.

And everyone can have their own cluesheet as a mobile companion app when playing on the big living room screen!

Exploring, trading or fighting across a reproduction of our own Milky Way galaxy can be addicting and overwhelming at the same time. And there's always the option to peddle wares and passengers, or simply pick up work orders at space stations. But all of this is optional. You are the commander, and you forge your own path through space.

Elite Dangerous is easily a new benchmark of fictional space simulation with detailed graphics and incredible depth, while supporting a variety of input methods. Game receives regular updates, and background simulation makes it a changing galaxy where everybody has a chance to impact the future.

Despite the yelling at my crew for getting stuck in odd places and having to restart missions because of it, I couldn't stop playing this. Obviously I came up with a different excuse for dinner being 2 hours behind schedule.

Missions are varied, but spread around on a limited set of locations. The anticipation of what could be the next call was partially the reason I had to keep playing. Just one more alarm. Repeatedly.

It has issues with AI path finding, and micromanaging can be a challenge without enough zoom or having icons of all units displayed on screen rather than the ones you just selected.

I had a good time with this game, even though it could be frustrating, and will likely be getting the sequel hoping I can have just as good a time with the issues from this version being taken care of.

The issues might be a game breaker for some, and the genre itself might not be for everyone. But from my perspective the game is alright for what it tries to do, and I enjoyed it.
