Seems alright. Might play it for a couple of hours.

This game makes me feel like a guy was playing a lot of Hotline Miami and Super Meat Boy, and decided that he can make a cryptic weeb game out of it

I thought that the most enjoyable puzzle was the one that involved punching in the password written on the door five feet away, until I managed to "escape" the station by falling thru the level.

None of that hide behind walls and wait for your health to recover ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in this one, this is what fps games were meant to be. It doesn't hurt that the entire soundtrack is nothing but bangers.

Play it on at least Ultra Viscera difficulty (2nd hardest). A game like this was meant to be hard. Other Build engine games may been harder, but some also suffered from some cheap one shot ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. This game does not.

It look me just shy of 10 hours to beat it, but I'll admit that I'm a little rusty with fps games of this sort and also I'm a scrub. The first level or two was a little painful, but once I got my groove back it was 2nd nature.

Get it.

An overall pretty good game.

It is very similar to Bastion (also of Supergiant Games) in which you play as a protagonist in a haunting beautiful world. The atmosphere is spectacular, and as it the soundtrack.

You have a much deeper system of abilities than in Bastion. You can mix and match abilities to have many different ways of getting through the game. The game does not really explain it too well, but it does not take long to figure out.

The game utilizes a sort of quasi turn based mechanic similar to the first two Fallout games. Of course, you are vulnerable after executing this mechanic and so one has to decide if it will be worth it.

If I have one complaint, it is the length of the game. It is over fairly quick.

If I had to choose between Bastion and Transistor, Bastion would win by a very slight margin. That said, Transistor is a great game. I can't wait to see what Supergiant comes out with next.

If you enjoy being a sneaky bastard, this is a good choice. I enjoyed the difficulty of trying to get through a mission unseen and unheard.

Sneaking through an entire level without raising an alarm is tough. Doing it without anyone seeing you is tougher. Try to do it without a costume and without touching anyone but the target and the challenge is quite high. While it may take one or two or ten tries to nail that perfect hit, the feeling of satisfaction is completely worth it. This has been a mainstay with the Hitman series and is not lost here.

The in-game challenges in missions adds tons of replayability. An issue previous Hitman games had was not knowing of cool mechanics a level could contain. For example, I believe Blood Money had a giant chandelier you could drop on stage to take out one of your targets. That one was obvious. Others, not so much. With the challenges, you get a bit of a hint in terns of the name of the challege or the icon beside it. I found it pretty fun seeing all the different ways I could take out my targets.

There is some variety in missions. Not all are assassinations. Some may include escaping an area, while another collecting necessary items. Sure, the game is called "Hitman" but having a bit of variety never hurts.

If you are looking for a game that is all about run and gun, this isn't it. On the harder skill levels (I never played anything but hard or above) running into a gun fight is asking to die of lead poisoning. Also, the story tends to have completely over the top characters. With the gameplay itself quasi-realistic (one shot kills, no regenerating health apart from very rare first aid stations, etc) the ridiculous characters are a little much. The last qualm I have with the game is the fact that I don't believe a single character model creator has actually seen a real human female breast based upon the strip club level. Just sayin...

All in all, I do recommend this game.

I believe that it'll be difficult to play a game with as good of a story as what I experienced here. This is a must buy.

This ain't your daddy's fps... well, it might be if your pappy was a boss and played Tribes back in the day.

Forget those shooters with heart rate sensors, tiger print painted rifles, and "realistic" combat. On a scale of one to ten, those are ♥♥♥♥ when compared to the brilliance which is Tribes. You ever try to kill an enemy with a single shot while travelling through the air at 150 mph while he tries to do the same to you? Didn't think so. You were probably too busy trying to figure out what nametag was the most swag.

Reward yourself with a faster shooter. A better shooter. A thinking person's shooter. Yeah, your first foray into the battle will not be pretty. You will die. Why? Cause your poor brain has never been subject to what appears to be a complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Stick with it. You might get an assist, maybe a kill. And you'll like it. Why? Cause that ♥♥♥♥ took skill. And once you get your first taste of that, you'll be hooked.

So do yourself a favor. Get Tribes: Ascend now.
