Extremely disappointing. I finally got to play this on a computer that could run it on max graphics and oh my God. I am so glad that I got this from a humble bundle. I have been playing these wrestling games for a long time although I take long breaks. So when I got the newest one, I expected to be disappointed, but not to this extent. It is such a cash grab with no real effort. I played a elimination chamber and the first thing I noticed was the extremely depressing roster. Was there a lot of people? Yes. Could I pick anyone that I really wanted to use? No. A ridiculous amount of them were just ??????. I assume that means you can unlock them. And then other ones you have to pay for the season's pass for, and those were the ones I really cared about. I have not watched wrestling in many many years so a lot of these people I don't even recognize, and I accept that. But the amount of grayed out spots on the roster was just ridiculous. The pictures of some of them were ridiculous. And I haven't even gotten to the visuals that I saw when I started the match.
When it started doing their intros, I was appalled at how much open space there was. It was just flat and blocky in what was supposed to be an arena full of people. They put as little effort as possible on anything that was not a wrestler. The fans were all different looking, but they looked like they belong on PlayStation 1. And there was no real attempts at feeling like I was in a real arena. And then as I was actually playing the match, everything involving the stage was some of the laziest graphics I have seen. And I will give a lot of leeway to graphic designers on certain things. I'm not the kind of person that will complain just because I can't see the sweat drop coming off of their eyebrow hair. But this was just extremely lazy in an attempt at robbing everybody. This looks like an incomplete game straight up.

Early Access Review
Amazing game. Regardless of the fact that my nickname is Wicked, I am VERY impressed with what the developers did here. Seeing complaints about tedious things like camera sway is just wow....people find anything to nit pick on. Having such customization options, with fun fighting, getting materials, re-spawns on things, the story, etc. All of it is just great.
And with people apparently complaining about the difficulty?? I'm sorry but this is in no way difficult like Dark Souls or any of those kind of games. I have to be in the mood to deal with those kind of challenges, and this game does not require that kind of mood for me.
A++++++++ from me!

Okay, I have now gotten the game and can make a legitimate review. Yes I only have 0.7 hours, but I felt it was important for me to add this review based on how I feel at this point. I was seeing a lot of negative reviews, claiming it wasn't what they expected, that it was rushed, over priced, etc.
Well, being a huge World Of Goo, and Tomorrow Corporation fan, I can say that so far, it has been what I would expect from a World Of Goo game to be. The music is good, the atmosphere is good, the signs are scattered around with nice messages, the little cut scenes are good. Honestly I don't know what the negative reviewers were expecting....it's World Of Goo...and it is filling the void that I've had for so long since I stopped playing the original. I'm enjoying it and looking forward to what comes next!
HOWEVER, I will say the price is def more than what I would think. Yes it was a long time ago when the original came out, so prices would increase. However I still think this kind of game should have been $20. $30 only makes sense if there is more content than the original had. And if that is the case, I will come back and update that information.

Apparently I'm one of the few people that grew up with the original battletoads AND loves this game. The way I see it is we either could have gotten A) a poor attempt at recreating what the original had, with no real dialogue, endless combat that is the same punches and kicks over and over, with an even poorer attempt at the humor. Or B) Something that is unique, very beautiful graphically, a variety of combat moves that is quite fun to witness, a variety of mini-games much like the first one, real voice acting that shows some real money went into it, and something that showed the developers were actually trying to make something for the fans.

So what if they messed up on some things such as the queen. I'll gladly take a few mess-ups over an entire pile of crap any day. And to complain at a $20 price tag when we have so many $60 games that make you spend hundreds just to get cosmetics? Some gamers just make me lose hope in humanity...

I love it! How could they fall so far by making that pathetic attempt of a game called Torchlight 3?!? They had everything they needed to use in T2, and they gutted it......so sad.

Even though this game doesn't play like the original Dissidia games that I played before, this one is still really good. It has actual good graphics, good mechanics once you practice, and the fact that you can change and customize the characters is amazing.
So why am I not recommending this game? Because after I purchased the deluxe version, which I assumed unlocked everything, I looked at what DLC the game actually had,....and I was without words. The greed that this game shows is a disgrace to the Final Fantasy name. To even attempt to charge for each costume/weapon set, per character, per "set" number, is disgusting. This game does not deserve to get a positive review if this is the kind of business model they think would be successful. If I had seen it first, I would not have bought the game. Luckily I only did it on sale.

I started on FF2(FF4 JP) for Super Nintendo, so I am one of your oldest followers, and you have broken my soul with this.

So I bought this game on sale, which is amazing because I had pretty much given up on hoping for something "new" and different from the WWE2k series. Honestly the roster is what made me take the dive.
Firstly, I grew up on Smackdown series on PS1, up to SvR series on PS2 up until 2011. I stopped watching wrestling back then, so the motivation was kinda missing since the games were mostly copy paste. I did a random purchase of 2k16 on sale a couple years ago(I enjoyed it), and stopped there because 17, 18, and 19 just all looked the same. Slight improvements, but nothing that showed reason enough to spend $60.
Fast forward to today, where I see mostly negative reviews regarding mostly bugs and game crashes. Some said it was fixed, others said it was trash. I'll admit that getting a tax return and the sale helped make the purchase easier to swallow.

I gotta say that I am amazed at this games graphics of the wrestlers. ALLL the other games just looked like average attempts at wrestlers, but this one actually had me very impressed with the physical details. The skin, the veins, the muscles, the shadows/lighting, the body movement with the personality was all very surprising to me. Out of all the comments, I didn't see any that praised this game for that. Although if the game only crashed on me, I wouldn't have left a positive comment either.
I played for an hour, going through multiple modes to test for problems. I did have ONE crash at the end of my first match. I read someone said to turn off the vsync, which I did, and it didn't crash again. Might have been a fluke, or I may have more crashes in my future.
For now, I will praise the game for what I can tell was some serious effort put into the cosmetic parts. Even the different referees, crazy fictional arenas, and the real effort at giving nostalgia is something I notice as a wrestling fan. If the game becomes unplayable for me, I will change my review.

I gotta say I love this game. I'm surprised to see so many say this isn't like any Lego game they have played before, because it is like 70% Lego Worlds gameplay with the rest being the movie plot and locations.

The open worldishness with the chests and random items you earn is what I loved about Lego Worlds, and the fact you can use all these items at any point instead of doing a "free play" option after doing a story mission is great. My 4 year old is obsessed with it, and I love that because it's teaching her the full use of the controller. I'm assuming the "mouse" complaint is mainly kb&m users, but I've never played a Lego game without a controller.
I give it a 10/10 for graphics, gameplay, story, and uniqueness. It's soooo much better than the first game in my opinion. We were over the instructions searching pretty early on in the first one, and switching to different people just to jump an inch higher or to throw something was ridiculous.

I love this game, I truly do. I enjoy the many aspects of starting fresh, building, surviving, etc. But the toxic community and their inability to even see why it's bad to kill new people every second of every day is just sad. Trying to even learn the game and get started takes so long when you die, respawn, die, respawn, and die just because someone wanted to kill something that had no loot and wasn't even hostile.
If the game is meant to be like real life, then the community needs to realize that in real life, you don't just run up and attack a human being for no reason. You attempt to communicate, make friends, work together, etc. When I get the answer "That's Rust", it just means no one cares about what this game COULD be. Imagine how big the game would be if all those people that rage quit hadn't of been killed trying to learn the game.
And now I'm one of those people uninstalling because of the community, not because of the game.

Do I love this game? Yes. Would I ever pay the amount that is required to get all the DLC? No.....Is there any game that could be so good that I'd pay that amount? No.....
Conclusion? Greed in the gaming industry is common place and I've lost hope in mankind for allowing it to continue.
