I was an avid player of the original game years ago and was delighted to hear that ToS2 brought it back.

I'm having fun. The quality of life updates from the original game are nice and convenient. The roles have been an interesting learning curve to adjust to, but I'm enjoying it. I think the majority of the negative reviews stem from the players with the inability to deceive others as well as they'd hoped. This game has its frustrating moments for sure, especially if you're relying on others that aren't performing their best, but I enjoy the matches and chaos enough to stay to the end and watch even if I die on Night 1.

The game is free. Spend $5 and you can play unlimited games, otherwise you're limited to 5 per day. I think it is money well spent, and otherwise a fantastic free game. There is occasional toxicity in the chats (this is a game about lying and deceit, after all) but I've found that most people are helpful and nice if you ask questions. Just be forewarned: you will sink a lot of mindless hours into this game.
