This is everything I wanted from a Halo game and never got, how I originally imagined some features of Destiny would feel like before it released all those years ago. The co-op experience I've been missing in my life recently.
But most importantly, its so fun, doesn't take itself seriously and is great for serious and casual game sessions.

This is a game that I can just sink time into in different ways. I have been playing Elite since 2014 on Xbox and now have made the switch to PC and theres never been a better time than now to get into it.
One thing to note is that new content for this game is slow to be added, but Odyssey is a massive game-changer and feels as though its always been a part of the game in some weird way.
This game offers that short or long haul trucking experience, trade in markets across the bubble alone or with friends in a team of ships, or all jump into one players ship. Maybe you prefer mining asteroids for rare materials, I cant tell you how satisfying it is blowing up an asteroid and finding low temperature diamonds. Maybe if youre feeling adventurous youd set out on a long exploration trip into the black. The entire galaxy is ready to be explored, I personally spent a month travelling to the centre of the galaxy and back looking for water worlds to sell data on, and now you can not only land on planets and drive around in an SRV but you can also walk around and explore. Theres even atmospheric worlds, plants and alien lifeforms now - and lets not forget the thargoids and guardians.
But hey if thats all too slow for you, Elite Dangerous has some of the most fun space combat I've played. Theres nothing quite like a dog fight in an asteroid ring, or maybe youre on foot on the frontlines stealing data from a planetary base. Theres honestly just so much to do in this game, the solo experience is fun, but this game REALLY shines with a few friends.

Flight controls might seem daunting at first but recently the new player experience has been made so good that you shouldnt have too much trouble learning the ropes and even if you were to have trouble theres so many wonderful player groups that are more than willing to help you get started.

If you wanna live that sci fi future fantasy and make your own way as the pilot of your own spaceship then this game is for you. Mining, trading, combat, piracy, deep space exploration, ship and player customisation its all here.
