Technically competent game. REALLY dull though. I got this in a bundle and hoped it might be a hidden gem or a tasty kusoge. Unfortunately it is technically competent enough there is nothing to point and laugh at. Likewise the gameplay, story, environments, voice work, and music have about as much taste as stale 4 day old dry bread. I'd avoid unless you like REALLY sleepy, dry platformers. Kind of mindless, quite short.

So-so kart racer. Very much what one would expect. Controls pretty well, fun enough items. Most tracks are a bit bland. A couple of cool ones here and there. I especially liked the black and white one. I'd been hoping this game might be cool, because free and crossplay means no more "but I dont own a Switch" or things like that.

This game has some of the worst audio I've heard in a modern game. The music sounds like they grabbed a random public domain loop from a Disney attraction or TV special. The voices are also uneven and weirdly compressed. I can't quite put my finger on it, but they all sound like they were recorded in random rooms or places with equipped not suited to the job. I found this JARRING. I turned off voices after two races.

The elephant in the room here is monetization. BOY get ready for the hard sell. EVERY chance the game got after the first couple of races (gotta ease them in) dragged me back to the store even if I had no reason to go there. This game has what feels like more menus than Final Fantasy 14 and it's frustrating. This is a racing game. Can I just play the game and not have to sit in menus and storefronts? At a certain point regardless of the pros and cons of the game itself, I quit because I hate the disrespectful sales tactics.

If you loathe F2P akin to Asphalt or other decent F2Ps where monetization ruined it... this will not be for you. Game doesnt matter if its obnoxious all the time.

This is one of the best kart racers on the market. Race by land, sea, and air across various Sega franchise themed courses. Large roster, varied courses, and decent enough online. Could stand to have some UI updates, but otherwise great game!

Recommend turning in-game volume down a bit since this game is weirdly loud, turning off in-game voice chat.

Depending on what GPU you have or other factors, game is no longer stable for all users. There isn't reasonably much you can do about that. If it runs well for you, great, if not, I'd refund. Seems to show random crashes, as many have pointed out, usually in water or water related levels.

This is an extremely low effort game. Playing off of ideas found in Tetris 99 and similar such games, It feels like this one needs way more time to cook and better connectivity. Frequently takes longer to get a match than it does to play one. It's Bomberman. If you are okay with it being a so-so Bomberman and playing online only with 64 people, it's fun. If you aren't okay with the weird design choices, and significant wait times, it is not fun.

So I'm really reviewing two things here. Firstly the game and content. The "important" part of the game. This is a fantastic and briskly paced jrpg. It uses it's mechanics, world, and characters to great effect, even compared to most jrpgs made recently. The combat feels like a slightly simplified Final Fantasy but with team up attacks/abilities. Story is generally good all around. What draws me to it though are some of the oddly serious moments that FEEL like something they'd have toned down in a North American release of a SNES game. Won't spoil anything, but there are about 4 or 5 scenes in this game I will always remember.

Now the slightly less optimistic part. This port is... not amazing. Square did (after many years) run a lot of patches to improve the situation, however it still seems to remain unstable on some computers. Many people experience it not launching correctly (my theory is on laptops with both dedicated and integrated video, possibly a high refresh rate monitor issue?). Many streamers also have it break "game capture". My recent playthrough went well on desktop however, but buyer beware. This version may not be ideal for your setup and it is likely as fixed as it's going to get.

If this is your only way to play it, it's not a bad way to do it. Just turn off that gross HD filter, and be mindful of any weird crashes or launching issues. Otherwise, amazing game. Play it ASAP!

This game is an unfinished, frustrating, and poorly designed Mega Man clone. Occasionally, I'll get told by fans or those more forgiving "oh, it isn't that bad." It is that bad. Given it multiple chances. Regardless of the $2-3 or whatever I paid for it, still feel kind of ripped off. Gonna tell my inner Mega Man that MN9 isn't worth my time, no matter how much I want to like it.

This is not a good version of Bomberman. Slow, dull, very long script that is a bit too in love with itself. Most importantly, the odd camera angles make is surprisingly annoying to control. Almost anyone buying this game has already played many better versions of it. This feels VERY phoned in.

So far this is everything I wanted! Seems to stand up there with the best of the Metroidvania type games. 2.5D graphics look a little bit cheap, but otherwise truly enjoying everything about this game! Will revise if needed as I play more. Did not get for free, but purchased at a rather high cost during the Kickstarter. Worth it.

Kind of an odd game. Can't put my finger on what I dislike about it over all. Odd character interactions and an overly convoluted combat system would be the start. It's still a "Tales of" game though. It's not bad persay, but it isn't doing anything for me. I usually like most decent jRPGs.
