Elden Ring is another title from From Software. In general I would reccomend this game but I have noticed a lot of problems that quite a few other people have. First to the bad points:
1. I have noticed that the game often drops very hard in FPS once a new area is loaded in, it often happens at random points of the map but it also happens in Boss Fights or just being out in the World fighting some small enemies, in general this doesnt happen every 5 minutes, but it has resultet in me getting hit and even dying.
(I have switched my Hardware from a budget 500$ PC, to a more powerful PC, to now a gaming Laptop and the Lags all happen no matter what the graphics settings are)
2. Hitboxex are very funky in this game and often you wonder what exacly just hit you, was it the Weapon, an AOE of some kind of projectile. Most people love exploring areas and fighting the bosses since they are so cool, but it often gets frustrating when you want to strave an attack, but the magical elbow hit you for full damage. It is much better in Elden Ring than in any other Souls game, but it still isnt perfect.
3. The Camera in these games is just awful, ememies sitting right infront of your face and you are unable to see what you roll against and when he does his next attack, the tracking is really weird and me having played this game with controller and with keyboard, I can truly say that this games camera is the most frustrating thing about these games, the weird tracking that just slightly follows you, it automatically adjusting itself when riding on Torrent. To sum up this point, the game should give you a few more options to adjust camera settings, like FOV, self allignment, the weird following, because controller players and keyboard players would enjoy this much more.
4. Keyboard support for the game is awful, its clear that Sony and/or Microsoft most certainly paid for it to have great support for Controllers. Playing the game with Keyboard was a nightmare, controlling Torrent was hell itself, it felt like SM64 with a Joystick, changing Keybinds works but you cant change half of the controlls like 2 Handing.
5. Another Points I myself dislike is the repetitive use of Bosses and Strong enemies, you probably face the Godskins Aposlte a total of 3 Times, it just feels a little cheap putting the same bosses in a lot fo location and then showing of the large open world with so many bosses, when you have to fight the 50th Magma Wyrm again.
6. Cap of 60FPS, I modded DS3 to give me 144FPS and the fights felt amazing, its sad to see that you cant have more than 60FPS in Elden Ring, I cant imagine how amazing the bosses would be.

But this game still has a lot of amazing things about itself, like for example:

1. The game offers a large open world area that offers massive amounts of exploring and small events like AI fighting. The Open World is also very vertical, meaning you can explore high on mountains, go down cave systems, climb up a cliff and stand on top, it is just a lot of fun having the freedom to basicaly explore everything you see.
2. World design, I recently started Elden Ring again, after finishing DS3 for the 100th time and that was when I realised how good the looks, its very high resolution, the colors and the lighting just look amazing. The effects of attacks really make them feel powerful.
3. The weapons, compared to every other Souls Like, Elden Ring has even more amazing weapons with insane looking effects, its fun and it makes you feel like a hero, an assassin or a real ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Wizard, it just feels rewarding farming for something and using it and seeing the amazing desgin and effects,
4. The bosses, of course, the bosses is what makes these games so cool, using a sick weapon to kill a Lord through trial and error gives just an amazing feeling, facing bosses like Margit the first time really shows you what this game is going to be, Godfrey, Morgott, Maliketh, it feels like a movie fighting those, some would say it feels like an anime.
