Played it since I was a wee babby and its still going strong what more of a recommendation do you need.

Just finished playing through the War of the Chosen and yes its a full price and yes you need the original game but as I got it on a deal the price was reasonable for me anyway not sure its worth £35 and the price of the original game. This is however how games have gone and its a model that is increasingly difficult to avoid.

The game however was very enjoyable and the additions offered by the War of the Chosen for me offered enough new variety that I again found myself binge playing but then holding off the final kill just to enjoy my squad more. I remember struggling more when I played through the Original game especially around the PSI skills. This time to be honest things came my way easier and I pretty much could of got by without any PSI soldiers although of course I nutured a lovely squad of powerful PSI soldiers. This is the joy of the game to be honest going right back to the first time I played it on my Amiga it was nuturing those soldiers ranking them up and then sobbing and even playing through the same mission multiple times or cursing that I did not save the game. Call it cheating but I lose one of my key babies I will do whatever it takes to go back in time and save him and that is part of the draw for me.

So all in all totally recommend it but maybe wait for the next offer.
