Guybrush Threepwood and Mario Mario didn't hang out but maybe if Ron Gilbert and Shigeru Miyamoto had done, maybe it wouldn't have taken until 2020 for us to finally get to experience this new genre of Jump n Click (or should that be Point-former?)

Lair of the Clockwork God is a wonderfully inventive and genuinely laugh out loud mash up that skillfully brings together brain teasing point and click mechanics, inventory based puzzle solving, classic platforming and even progressive player upgrades. It's rare to find genuinely fresh ideas in game design but that is what the team at Size Five have achieved. Sorely disappointed not to have been able to spend more time playing it!

The Dan and Ben series are reliably amusing so if you want some levity in these times make sure to check out their other games. But, be warned, there's a real chance you'll be left missing the added dimensions of playability introduced by Lair of the Clockwork God. Get on this game today.
