This saga is not sweet.

Obligatory Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse reference aside, this is one hell of a role-playing game. The combat is challenging but enjoyable, the sidequests are something, the graphics are delicious, the music is just spot on, the list goes on. (Oh, and I backed the Kickstarter too.)

But what really got my attention was the main plot, which is surprisingly bittersweet, with an emphasis on bitter. When Gwen and the gangs crack wise, you want to add another quip. When Bruce and the band sheds tear, your heart moves. When Siobhan and the group laughs, you chuckle.

And when Verm feels the pure rage from within, you just can't help but feel the same.

And you thought a small game with some rodents in it would be so sweet.

9/10. Definitely recommending my friends.

Mystery visual novel meets Nonogram/Picross puzzle with a dash of Pride parade thrown in, nuff said. What got me, however, was the characters - likable and interesting.

The puzzles might get juuust a bit tiresome on the long run, but maybe that's just me not used to puzzle marathons.

So if you don't mind some puzzles and a rather weak first episode, this might grab your attention.

It's a good sign for a game when it doesn't even try to take itself serious... while proving that yes, they do care what they're making and what they're spoofing.

Stealth-based action works quite fine, but what really took me was the plot. No, really. The plot is one of those "the protagonist is telling his own story and we're not sure if he's lying or not" kind of stuff, but it works out surprisingly convincing.

The game is retro-esque, and by that I also mean that the difficulty is "retro," as in "trying to exploit your coins" kind of difficulty. But maybe it's just me.

tl;dr: Sneaky, action-packed, tongue-in-cheek, and surprisingly narrative. If you love some old-school graphics as well, this is for you.

Just saw the ending, and god, where to begin?

But first thing first: I played the first Psychonauts a bit too late, around 2011 or 2012. I didn't get to play Rhombus in the Ruins, because I don't own a VR console myself. Too glad I can fully experience the fun even without the VR trip.

If you have enjoyed, or at least experienced the wild, hallucinatory ride that is the first Psychonauts, this is definitely the sequel you've been waiting for. Everything you'd expect from the franchise is there, plus some good improvements.

Oh, and it's extra trippy. Even for Psychonauts standards. But that's why you bought the game in the first place, yesno? And trust me, it's a trip that's worth a full price.

P.S. Almost forgot to remind you that you absolutely have to play the first game to take a full trip. Seriously, you'll miss like more than a half of the entire plots without it.

Simple. Cute. Heartrending.

(Alright, the last part was ripped off from Mother 3 tagline.)

Backed the Kickstarter project, just finished the whole thing, minus some achievements. The puzzle is brain-stimulating, the plot had more depth than I expected, and it's just worth every dollar I backed. The dialogue might be a bit wordy (like this review), but it's really a nitpick.

721 hours and counting. Still yet to finish half the Dawnguard quest (one entire side, that is) and like half the Dragonborn quests. Still yet to engage some of the most famous quest mods, including Elsweyr Falskaar, The Forgotten City, and the like.

You can't hate a game that you can literally play forever.

Waiting for Skywind and Skylivion.

Classic stealth-based action game, exquisitely done. The style is classy, the music is groovy, and the gameplay is very fluid and entertaining. The unpredictable guards might be disadvantageous to player's side, but it's not that a difficult game to begin with (of course, it's another story if you go for speedrun). The volume is surprisingly big for a game no larger than 300 MB, but still a bit short of satisfying on the long run. 9/10 - Will steal arts again.

Early Access Review
Should be better than the current state, but not bad for now. The problem is the control, which is kinda shoddy when played on keyboards. (I mean, Z for dash and A for attack? That's like using the B button on NES controller for jumping.) Enemies are a bit too strong, and the boss doesn't play fair enough. Other than that, I guess it's kinda pure fun, even more than I expected. I know it's still in early access stage, so I'm counting on for updates.

Videogame industry has been developed ever since the very first videogame was introduced to mankind. At first people appreciated pretty much everything in the videgames - even the crappiest of them all was, at least, "worth playing for." But as the industry developed, so was the gamers. Now people want something more than just a game in videogames. They want music, they want graphics, they want storylines and plots, they want something deep.

You know what? Forget all that.

Broforce tells that the essence of videogame is, after all, being fun.

And it shows.

No, seriously.

That is exactly why this game is awesome.

Playing point-and-click adventure games by LucasArts is like working on math projects with an abacus. Do not get me wrong - I just wanted to say that it is just damn too hard on the first go, but once you get used to it the consequence is just amazing. There is a reason for a phrase like golden oldies, after all.

Grim Fandango is one of the best point-and-click adventure videogame by LucasArts, and also one of the best 3D point-and-click adventure videogame by any developers. The concept and premise is just plain awesome, the jokes are actually pretty hilarious, and the drama that strikes you upon finishing the game is inexplicable. You should really play this game yourself to understand that... feels... by the end of the game.

Unfortunately, being the point-and-click adventure genre and being developed and released at the very beginning of the 3D videogame history rendered some parts of the game rather inconvineint for newer videogamers. For starters, good luck with playing the whole game without walkthroughs. The puzzles are cryptic, and there are not much hints in the game to say the least. The days of good ol' trial-and-error progression could get tedious. The 3D camera stuffs are not as much crafty as the modern implications, and I am not even getting started with the "tank control" part.

We cannot help with it. They could not help with it. The game was released in 1998, shortly after Windows 98 is released. Like Howard Stark has said in the film Iron Man 2, "they were limited by the technology of their time."

Still, like I said above, there is a reason for a phrase like golden oldies, and I must say that this is one of the golden oldies. Very highly recommended.
