Great grinding game with friends

Iconoclasts first attracted me when I saw its brilliant art in the launch trailer. I am also a big fan of Metroidvania style games (Axiom Verge, Gucamelee, etc) so this was a fairly easy buy for just the gameplay alone. About an hour or so in, the story began to really grab hold of my interest. There were many situations and twists that were completely unexpected and every character has such great development. In it's entirety, Iconoclast has a rather dark and foreboding atmosphere, luckily there are many characters to help balance out the grim story line with fantastic personalities and witty humor.
I just absolutely adore the spontaneity of the story and the depth of each character.

Runs 60 Hz @ 1440p on a GTX 1070. I'm happy. Also there are lots of great option in this remaster and suports Ps4 controller out of the box.

Star Ocean - First Departure and Second Evolution for PSP are some of my favorite RPGs, and The Last Hope doesn’t even come close to the charm those two games had.
Sure the combat is great in this one and has lots of mechanics to keep you busy. But there is lots for me to dislike about this game in the fanchise.
Everyone's faces just look creepy when playing this remastered version. This game was just not meant for 4K. Luckily I couldn’t see their creepy eyes when playing the muddied low res PS3 version.
The animations and camera outside of combat are nausea inducing which makes exploring an absolute a pain. Even with depth of field and motion blur turned off their was no way for me to change camera speed or the terrible camera “floatiness” to alleviate this issue. The camera will keep moving for a good second after you let go. Also character movement is unresponsive in and out of combat since it takes them time to begin their walking animation.
I don’t really know what else this game has to offer because I only played a decent 5 or so hours on the ps3. Why I bought this game? Who ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ knows. It's not worth it with much better rpgs out there.

I was blown away by the depth of combat in this game. It's an absolute joy to play.
The port runs very well for me at max setting 1080p.

Fantastic game. Fantastic Port

Fantastic characters, world, and suprisingly a great fantasy sports ball simulator. Overall a very unique game narratively and mechanically that I enjoyed Immensely.

This application has saved me from many bad PC ports that run poorly in fullscreen mode, (eg Nier Automata, Atelier Sophie, most "Koei Tecmo" games, etc)

The game as a whole is pretty average for example the jrpg combat, animations, voice acting, and typical anime happy-go-lucky story fall into this category. On the other hand the routine of "Accept Quest" - > "Explore" - > "Craft" - which you will be doing for the majority of the game - is really well paced. This game is super addictive and relaxing to play thanks to this routine. Little story bits are placed throughout the game and there's a decent amount of gameplay varirty. So I would absolutely recommend this if you want to relax and like jrpg's or crafting.
