It is audio surf 1 mono with 80s cars, a synthwave road, and basic controls. Structure is as ancient as the theme. 6 levels, 6 cars. Grind until you get them all. No score board, no stats, no bonuses. Just hit the lights and avoid the barriers. This game does have some serious potential, but as it stands, it is as exciting as a game of pong.

I love this game. I love it so much that when running the game during power outrage wiped out my saved game and I was faced with a "You look new here" upon turning my computer back on. Needless to say, after losing 400+ hours of grinding on this, I was devastated. This game really needs steam cloud, not just so you can play it on multiple devices on at a time, but also so data corruption events like this do not happen.

I am very impressed by this game.

First off I wanted to comment on some of the negative reviews about difficulty by saying that this isn't your typical grind to get the most money and cars type of game..

It is more like a "see how far you can go on one quarter" type of game. The difficulty is there for a reason. It is a mechanic of the game. This is the type of game where there are patterns and you learn and conquer those patterns as you play the game more and more.

There are talks about repetitiveness and it is true, but what game isn't? There are plenty of powerups which alter gameplay and random map elements to make each run different than the last.

That being said this game screams nostalgia. The visuals, music, and fast paced arcade action make me feel like I am playing a classic racing game on an arcade cabinet in a dark crowded neon lit room at 12am.

This game is in early development so some things may change to make the difficulty different, but I like it how it stands. It is more a game of skill and relaxation than mindless grinding.

For its current price of under $10 (again early development so price will probably go up around the time you are reading this), it is a great purchase for the game in its current state.

A true homage to the classics; Doom Deathmatch, Unreal Tournament, Halo, Quake 3, I see elements of each within this game.
Only gripe I have about this game is that it never really took off. There are only a few stock maps per game mode and the workshop content is very lacking.
I still log in frequently for a quick match and am never disappointed,
I highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys arena shooters, especially the ones from back in the day.
Hopefully it will get the recognition it deserves one day and the workshop content will flourish.

The true FTP classic needs no introduction or kind words. Although not as much of a game changer as the original Doom, the addition of the final boss who can endlessly produce enemies, level 20 where the spider can fight the cyber demon, or just blowing up Nazi's with a rocket launcher in levels 31 and 32 (and killing commander Keen) make Doom 2 a must have.

If you are bored with the same old same old, grab a download of Brutal Doom with the DoomGL source port. It breathes new life into this timeless classic.

Its always tough to review an early development game, but this one just keeps getting better and better. I have been following the development for about 2 years and have owned this game for a few months. The developers are dedicated and always adding something new every other month or so. For its current price tag, there is plenty to do. The town has events and the developers have recently made it seasonal with the promise of changing it every so often for events celebrated (similar to KF2 and their holiday events). At the time of writing this, the next developments are experience, achievements, and the arcade. All of which I cannot wait for. All development is posted on a work board (link can be found easily on the steam page), and there is a ton of stuff more that will be added to the game.

The whole game itself is a virtual world where currency is earned through minigames. The currency can be spent on places, personal items to decorate the places, and you can even gamble them in the casino with friends or against the slots. If you saw the movie Ready Player One and want an experience similar to it, this is the one to grab.

The recent addition of Steam Workshop and the ability to change player skins just adds a level of unpredictability to the game and provides a fresh experience almost everytime as a result.

The only real gripe which I'm betting will get better as the game becomes more developed is the lag in the plaza. I never had issues with lag in the minigames, but some of the events are hard to participate in when an object is infront of you one second and the frame sticks for 2 or 3.

The community is active, but it can be tough to get a good minigame going at times. Again, I think this will get better as the game becomes more developed and more copies sell.

I highly recommend this game to anyone looking for something different. If anything else, you will end up with a great minigolf game.

This game just keeps getting better and better. It started out small just like the first killing floor. A couple of levels, a couple of perks (first one started with all up front), and a couple of weapons. As time goes on, KF2 not only added everything the first had, but also added the weekly and daily rewards and the vault. The Devs are making a virtual economy in the game to monotize future updates. If Tripwire's history of the first game continues with KF2, your money will be well spent on this title with a barrage of never ending content. They also are finally starting to do the holiday events again which was one of my favorite highlights of the first game. I highly recommend this game to FPS loves, people who grew up with Doom, and people looking to join a game that gets stale after a few hours and then becomes new again a few weeks later.

I like this game a lot. People complain about repetitive play... Remember the old days where you had to play the same race over and over again in NFS or Test drive off road in order to get the cash to buy a vehicle only to play that track again with the new vehicle? If the game isn't fun to you, than playing it over and over again isn't going to be that fun. Paying to advance your play is what makes this game free to begin with. Yes, I would rather pay a few bucks up front and have the full game, but you could actually beat this without paying money. The achivements are actually a fair grind. It is easy to kill each alien type, but in certain situations with certain weapons makes them more like achievements and less of playing it for hours on end and unlocking everything. It reminds me of the old put in a quarter style arcade games of the past. Oh and it worked great with the arcade joystick I own (used joytokey) and plan to try this game with my x-arcade when I get the cabinet back up and running. Its a fun time waster with arcade like feel to it.

Only complaint I have is that the store is currently broken. Is there a way to contact the developers? Just repeatedly says failed to contact host. I don't even know how much things cost because I cannot connect. Would like to support them, but cannot if the feature is broken.

I would recommend this game to someone who truly loves the arcade games of the past and doesn't mind level grinding. Even with real money purchases, I imagine you are going to be playing this for hours before unlocking everything. Its worth a look for a free to play game, just don't expect to beat it and get all achievements in one sitting.

Very buggy. Running an i3 4150 3.5ghz with a 750 gtx and 8 gig of ram. Crashed on me twice at the 10 minute mark both times. The game actually was fun. Cannot complain about the pay to win aspect because I cannot even play the game enough to advance in it. Maybe it is my system, but it seems like there is a negative aura around this game.

Definitely feels like the classics. From the physics, to the graphics, to the exit to dos menu option. This game truly lives up with the best of them.
Grab this with the commander keen and duke nukem packs on steam and you will have yourself a classic gaming weekend.
