I have been playing Destiny 1 since its Beta and Destiny 2 since launch as well.

I always would have considered myself a die-hard fan of the franchise (I have a titan logo tattooed on my forearm)...

There were many times in which I contemplated if I should quit Destiny due to deeply rooted issues with Bungie and their mentality, though stuck around up until now. Beyond Light is by far the worst "expansion" (contraction) that Bungie has delivered to date. With the split from Activision the community had their hopes high and believed in Bungie to be better off without them. With Beyond Light launched, Bungie has removed the vast majority of content (to save disk space...) and reintroduced yet again another location from Destiny 1, whilst asking the highest amount for an expansion that they ever charged before.

I have always been leaning towards the PVP side of things, which kept me going for the most part but this current sandbox is literally unplayable due to the addition of Stasis. It is so incredibly unbalanced that it's obvious that it was not play tested properly or at all. One might think that their QA Team is a bunch of interns that are running around doing patrols all day...

I have no words for how I am feeling with this expansion. Destiny has always been a very dear passion of mine and I am so deeply disappointed and dissatisfied with what Bungie threw at us. I feel absolutely sorry for the F2P players that got ♥♥♥♥♥♥ out of their mind with the removal of almost all their content. I see no scenario in which a new player picks up this game and feels confident investing into it to keep playing.

Bungie, if you do not change course NOW and become that Bungie that we all knew and learned to love (D1, Halo, etc.), you will be merely mentioned in the same sentence as Fallout 76, No Mans Sky, etc.


DISCLAIMER: For anyone interested in whether my opinion is valid and/or can be trusted--I am LL 1256 right now, Season Level 91 and finished the story + got all new (available) exotics for all 3 classes.
