Here's a smal disclaimer before reading my review. If Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition was never made, and this was the first "Dark Souls" game, I would have thought this is the best game ever.

Dark Souls II was a long anticipated release for me. I was aboard the hype train the second it was announced. However when I played it I was immediatley greeted with disappointment. The level designs didn't flow or connect well at all. The bosses weren't actually hard, and the ones that were hard were either a damage sponge, or fromsoft just decided to put more enemies there, instead of making it challenging. These aren't even the worst offenders. What really offends is the story. In Dark Souls 1 we had an enviornment very literally DRIPPING with atmosphere that told a story of its own, just as we explored the bowels of its cruel world. And some of that is true for Dark Souls II, but the bits of story it actually gives you seems to make little sense, and has no real meaning. Perhaps that's what they were going for? I'm truly still unsure close to a year later. But this wasn't how Demon Souls or Dark Souls was made. The Covenants were nice if they ever worked, not to mention the whole lack of penalty for leaving a covenant. The new Parrying system was absolutely pointless, they had it right in the first game, and this one just seems to want to break up the action. I liked the idea of degenerating health upon death, however there were simply too many ways to avoid it. Combat seemed fine enough and that is a core mechanic of the game, but I fail to see any saving grace for it, when the developers "balanced" the combat. The game isn't a PVP experience first, it's a PVE first, and you don't need to mess with that. I suppose the best parts about this game for me were actually the Expansion Packs. The Areas flowed well and kept my attention, but this was after the fact and it felt like a new team worked on them. At the end of the day, Dark Souls II was a good game if you didn't play Dark Souls or Demons Souls. But for those of us returning to the series, we have nothing to find but disappointment and hand holding.

Sakura Spirit is a visual novel cocktease developed by Winged Cloud and published by Sekai Project. While it has an intriguing story and some whimsical characters I have to say I was disappointed that there was no H-Scene, in this H-Game. I finished this game in one hour, edging the entire time in anticipation for the most erection inducing H-Scene. However instead of indulging itself in what I had been promised all along by these teasing women, I was instead greeted with an end game screen, and promise of more.

PROMISE OF MORE WHAT?
PROMISE OF MORE WHAT, HUH?
I PAID FIVE DOLLARS FOR A ONE HOUR ERECTION!
I PAID FIVE UNITED STATES DOLLARS, FOR AN HOUR LONG ERECTION!
WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME JOBULON!?
IN THE HOUR OF MY ♥♥♥♥♥ NEED, YOU LEAVE ME "LITERALLY" DRY AS DEATH VALLEY!

Overall 7/10 solid book.

Warframe is possibly the best free to play game out there. This game offers a monotonous experience for those who love the grind, that will leave you amazed at how replayable it is. I find myself coming back to it month after month as they continue to add more content. It's free. What do you have to lose?
