Game has no calibration for your offset and despite the ranking system working like etterna (where hitting a note 20ms late will give you a different score for hitting it 5ms late) there is no way to see how early or late you were on a note other than the text which isnt helpful due to how lenient the timing is.

This is easily one of my favorite games of all time. The story takes a few chapters to truly get going, but it's 100% worth it to see it through the end and I will continue waiting for the other games in the trilogy to come out.

Over time, the dev has improved the accessibility options for players who might not like some of the other 9 genres of the game that doesn't include rhythm/VN, making it much easier to enjoy as long as you like one of the main 2 genres. Don't like the stories and you just came for rhythm? You can unlock all songs right off the bat (except for the harder difficulties). Don't like the ARG-like puzzles? Turn on puzzle hints/solutions. Don't like how grindy the rhythm aspect can be? Reduce the grind, turn on autoplay, or remove unlock conditions.

As for the gameplay, I'm lucky to have liked the all 3 genres of ARG/story/rhythm, but I think all 3 aspects just gets better and better as you progress the game. Especially the story. This game's story was one of the best I've ever seen, and I'd be very surprised if it gets topped anytime soon. You really start to look forward to every chapter's finale, as even in chapters 1 & 2 those are consistently the strongest episodes. About the puzzles, they were all very well made and if it's not your thing you can always turn on puzzle hint/solutions.

The actual rhythm game part is very unique, and I personally love the concept of L/R bumpers, which cover 2 lanes while you have to decide which key you want to press. There is also a huge skill ceiling, and 4 difficulties for each song. I can't comment on the charting for the easier songs but I have never heard any complaints about them, and as for the harder songs I personally don't see issues with them but some people tend to think they are overcharted. Overall the rhythm aspect is extremely well polished, and the only gripe i really have is how the calibration system doesn't work too well.

Definitely my favorite story game and my favorite rhythm game to date, I'd recommend this to anyone who likes rhythm games OR to anyone who likes visual novels 100%.

(warning: might be slightly biased because i was a beta tester, but i will try to be as unbiased as possible)

Great game.

The beginning game is pretty basic, but that is true for most idle games. Luckily, that doesn't last for long. After the beginning grind (which is mostly idle and doesn't last that long), the game gets pretty fun and exciting. There are a lot of unique ideas in this game, and the ideas are executed well. There are hundreds of hours of content in this game, so be prepared to have some boring parts. (It's an idle game after all) While a couple parts can be boring at times, it doesn't take too long, and before you know it, you'll unlock more features and have fun figuring them out.

I would recommend this to anyone who plays idle games. I wouldn't say it's one of the best, but it is definitely in the top tier of idle games.
