We can't have anything nice can we

Another game that was once glorious getting ruined by ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ microtransactions and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ practices, it always starts with small insignificant ♥♥♥♥ like emotes, until it evolves into battlepasses and memberships and next thing you know the game becomes a microtransaction filled f2p game with half of it's mechanics gone and most of it's content locked behind a paywall, these are the practices of tencent and mobile gaming CEOs every. single. time.

The game needed optimization, needed a lot of bug fixes, and needed to follow the roadmaps they keep announcing, but no, apparently emotes are more important than making the game work and adding content we the players were promised and paid for.

What a shame, move over to project reality or any other milsim out there, Offworld sold out, they are not worth your support, money, or time.

Remember when you were a kid and there was that one game on your gameboy that you kept playing for hours until your mom yelled at you or your gameboy's battery ran out?

I bought this game after a long time of watching reviews and gameplays and reading up about it, and after the disappointment that was 2042, I was told this would be the closest thing to a new battlefield, and that wasn't entirely wrong.

Is this a good game? Yes, it's pretty fun.... when it works, the game's gunplay feels solid and it feels different from other FPS games out there, I wouldn't say unique since it's pretty much a mix between BF and COD in a way, but it does feel really good.

However, I can't recommend this game at the moment, not because it's inherently bad, but because of the current state of the game and the issues I've been facing during my first 2 hours of playthrough,

First of all, I don't like the launcher, or my.games in general, steam is sufficient enough to launch the game and handle all of that, so having a separate launcher to DOWNLOAD the game and play it is counter-intuitive and feels unnecessary.

Second of all, the performance is terrible, there's no excuse for the performance to be this bad, my PC is still in a very good condition and can handle plenty of games, yet it struggles to play this game properly, I don't understand why I'm getting 20-30 FPS on big maps, or get FPS drops when I'm shooting, it's quite strange since the game isn't that graphically demanding, so the performance being this bad is definitely a huge problem.

Third, it's pretty buggy, lots of disconnects and a lot of times the menus don't respond properly or somehow do the opposite of the input I provided, for example when I choose a certain attachment the game thinks I'm choosing another attachment and the whole thing gets messed up.

Fourth, the balance, vehicles feel WAY TOO STRONG compared to everybody else, I understand that in a real life situation a vehicle would obliterate everyone, but this isn't real life, and this for sure isn't a simulator (at least I don't think it is), one tank is enough to wipe out an entire team and RPGs aren't strong enough to defeat them, a good vehicle re-balance is much needed.

Lastly, the sound, please please please work on the sound, the game desperately needs a sound fix before release, guns sounds aren't that good and footstep sounds are all over the place, sounds don't play sometimes and are either too loud or too low, the sound desperately needs fixing.

It's not a bad game, but in this state it's not good either, I have hope that the devs are going to address these issues and fix them, and if these issues are fixed, i feel like this game could become one of the best FPS games of 2022.

Make sure to have heart medicine nearby

I love this game, i seriously do, being someone who has been playing since the gmod tower days i was very glad to see this game become a thing.

There's a lot to do, a lot of fun mini-games, the theater, the condos and the arcade, the arcade especially is extremely fun.

But here's my biggest problem with this game and why I honestly can't recommend it: The casino.

I understand that it's part of the game, but it got to a point where no one is anywhere except the casino, barely anyone is playing the games, or chilling at the arcade or the theater, or playing bowling or laser tag, everyone is just mindlessly gambling at the casino which honestly defeats the purpose of the game and pretty much turns it into a gambling simulator.

I can't stop coming back to this game, no matter how long i leave it, everytime i come back it's like a whole new experience, even on expert mode (which is hard AF) it's still fun.

The amount of content this game has is amazing, reaching end game feels fun, not grindy or boring, just pure fun,


Endless entertainment, pure fun, very good looking and great performance, total BUY for sure.

The game gets really fun once you start understanding the mechanics properly and get past that steep learning curve.

The best way to learn combat in my honest opinion is to join duel servers, they're 1 on 1 servers with no 30 million other players and projectiles attacking you simultaneously, and they're tons of fun.

As someone who has played chivalry and enjoyed that while it lasted, I highly recommend this game.

This game is like a highly addictive drug, the first few times you see it you hesitate to try it, then when you do you try one or 2 times and never again, then the moment someone mentions it you start thinking about it.


Until eventually, you try it again and get hooked.

Did they seriously lock solo and duos for squad only gameplay? (assuming this is because of apex legends' popularity)
