I've used Steam for years but never felt compelled to write a review until Star Realms was released here.

It's an indie deckbuilder which lets you fight your opponent head-on. The mechanics are pretty simple to grasp, but have provided enough strategic variation to keep me playing constantly for the past year and a half.

It's great in physical form, but I actually prefer the digital version for the convenience of it asynchronous multiplayer. The print version actually offers more options (e.g. co-op, new base deck, more ships & bases) which haven't yet made their way to the digital version, but White Wizard seems to be slowly but suely bringing this over, so the game shold only improve with time.

Sure it has limitations. Reading text can be a bit of a hassle, but cards are simple enough that it doesn't take long to remember what each one does. Text chat for multiplayer would be nice. Some people don't like the pricing model, but considering what you get for the cost, I think it's well worth it.
