In it's current form the game is unplayable due to nasty mouse acceleration that can't be disabled. The devs have said that they plan to fix it for the next update, but until then I won't be touching this game.

This game is one hell of a thing. It's rare that I look at the screen and say to myself "this is the fight that kills me, maybe not right away, but there's no coming back from this", and yet in this game it happens fairly often, and every time it feels *right*, it feels earned. I got greedy, or I got desperate, and I overextended and it's time to pay for it.

Let me paint you a picture: I've run up against two strike groups already. My cruiser-killer is low on munitions and badly damaged, and the entire fleet is desperately short on fuel. I've been firing off strategic missiles and launching fighter groups to try to give myself some breathing room, enough space to refuel and repair, but I'm out. No bombs left for the planes, and I've only got four strategic missiles left. Thing is, they're all nukes, but I'm out of options. I think I know where the enemy strike group is, so I press the button, and I kill thousands. I was wrong, the strike group wasn't there, I wiped out a city for nothing. Not long after, ELINT lights up, I have something coming in fast, I already know what it is, the only thing that moves that fast is a missile, and I know it's going to be a nuke. Most of my fleet is gone, or too badly damaged to do anything. And finally, a strike group lurches into view. It engages, I hear that music, that damn music. And I look at the screen and say "this is the fight that kills me"

It's a very pretty game, and it keeps threatening to be interesting, but it's economy is so spectacularly ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that the only way to get anywhere is shamelessly exploiting things.

Every city needs to essentially function as an island, and unless you've gone out of your way it's extremely easy to end up in an inescapable money-pit without realising it until it's far too late.

The UI layers over itself, and the descriptions in tool-tips are frustratingly vague. The entire game feels like it's unfinished, like it's an early access title. But it's not in early access, it's full release.

While it may only be a four hour game, it is definately worth it. The gameplay is good, not anything particularly special, but where it really shines is in the story and the delivery. A beautiful stroy with a beutiful them with beautiful art and beutiful music, with beautiful writing spoken in the most beautiful voice. Needless to say, this is probably the most beautiful game I have ever played.

I helped kickstart this game, and alas it looks like this one is a stinker. While they have big ideas they are making next to no progress from a technical standpoint. The game is laggy as all hell, has very little content and is most definately not fun. Seriously, I have had more fun in ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ minesweeper. Also, here is a link from the the gamedev subreddit, explaining why on why starforge was probably doomed from the start.

NOTE: this only covers what the game is in its current state, as more content is added I may (read probably) change to recommending this game.

The premisce of this game is gorious, build a beautiful spaceship from parts, stick modules in and fly around in a proceduraly generated universe. However at the moment there isn't enough content in the game to justify the purchase. While there are plenty of parts and they look lovely, adding modules is very tedious, and most of them don't even do anything yet. The combat currently fells quite lacking, fly towards an enemy, lock onto them and push a button to turn on your guns. Now keep your ship so the guns can turn to face them and try to stay in range.

Then there are the performance issues. The performance of the game isn't great, about as good as you could expect from an alpha. Both content and performance wise the game is improving, but I personally will require more real gameplay to be added before I am prepared to recoomend this game.

While I wouldn't consider this to be a game in the normal sense, but an interactive art installation, it is definately worth buying. Unfortunately the point is somewhat lost if you know tooo much about the game, so I'll simply say that the stanley parable is a very interesting look into the world of gaming, with plenty of wit and a glorious premice.

This is an extremely well crafted 4X strategy. While it may not have as much depth as other 4x strategies, it has an exceptionally clear and easy to use GUI, which is a great help in this genre especially. It also has some lovely visuals. while it lacks any kind of scenarios, and the multiplayer isn't great (games last tooo long and people get bored) the singleplayer is good fun. There are some very interesting faction bonuses, such as the evacuation ability of the pilgrims.

The Disharmony expansion is vvery good too, the harmony have a very interesting uniqe playstyle. without acces to money they can't hurry production, hire heroes or retrofit ships, and they suffer the disharmony penalites, but they don't have to pay any upkeep or sacrifice indusdry to keep the coffers in the black.

To be honest, this game isn't for me. While the idea of combining tower defence (a genre I like) and FPS (genre that is amazing when not being hijacked by Battlefield and CoD), somehow this game doesn't fully realise it's potential. The tower defence aspect is resonable well implemented, if a little generic. However many of the arenas are dull for a tower defence, and worse for an FPS. The FPS elements were the main disapointment, the weapons feel bland, and even though there are a few nice ideas (the slowing gun for example) otherwise it's pretty generic.

That said, some people may like this game, but I found it a dissapointment.
