My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?
Why art Thou so far from helping Me, and from the words of My groaning?

O My God, I cry in the daytime, but Thou hearest not; and in the night season I am not silent.

But Thou art holy, O Thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

Our fathers trusted in Thee; they trusted, and Thou didst deliver them.

They cried unto Thee and were delivered; they trusted in Thee and were not confounded.

Pslams 27 Of David
The Lord is my light and my salvation—
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life—
of whom shall I be afraid?

When the wicked advance against me
to devour[a] me,
it is my enemies and my foes
who will stumble and fall.

Though an army besiege me,
my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,
even then I will be confident.

One thing I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple.

For in the day of trouble
he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent
and set me high upon a rock.

Then my head will be exalted
above the enemies who surround me;
at his sacred tent I will sacrifice with shouts of joy;
I will sing and make music to the Lord.

Hear my voice when I call, Lord;
be merciful to me and answer me.

My heart says of you, “Seek his face!”
Your face, Lord, I will seek.

Do not hide your face from me,
do not turn your servant away in anger;
you have been my helper.
Do not reject me or forsake me,
God my Savior.

Though my father and mother forsake me,
the Lord will receive me.

Teach me your way, Lord;
lead me in a straight path
because of my oppressors.

Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes,
for false witnesses rise up against me,
spouting malicious accusations.

I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.

Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord.

Why believe in our god : Jesus Christ
Did Jesus exist ?

The almost undeniable account from history that proves the existence of Christ, his execution, and the life of his apostles.

Proof from church :

The apostolic succession of the Catholic and Orthodox churches verifies the validity of Jesus Christ birth and Crucifixion.

Presuming that if the apostles existed, then their personal accounts for Jesus life, and crucifixion , prove the existence of Christ with their authored books within the bible. If one of the apostles are proven to exist, then they are evident for others to also exist.

The early Christian theologians and leaders, such as Clement of Rome and Ignatius of Antioch provide non-biblical references for the apostles existence.

Clement Of Rome : Letter dating 96 AD to the Corinthians: mentions the apostles Peter and Paul, with it highlighting their martyrdom and works for the church. Clement first epistle to the Corinthians (chapter 5: 3 - 6) [http//%3Dhttps]

Ignatius Of Antioch : Another letter that directly mentions both Peter and Paul, Ignatius wrote many to different communities and churches. The Epistle of Ignatius to the Romans (chapter 4) [http//%3D+https]

There is also Polycarp of Smyrna, who was a disciple of the apostle John.

Proof from Jewish sources:

Flavius Josephus : In the Antiquities of the Jews, James ,who is the brother of Christ and leader of the Jerusalem Church, was provided to have died.( Antiquities 20.9.1 [www.perseus.tufts.edu]) Flavius account written around 93 - 94 AD, and provides evidence for the existence of early christian community and leaders.

Non Jewish or Christian sources:

Tacitus : In Tacitus Annals, written around 116 AD, refers to the execution of Christians under emperor Nero, and refers to "Christus, from whom the name had it origin" [www.perseus.tufts.edu]

So what of the history ?

If the historical references for Jesus Christ and his apostles are not enough, then there are some supporting evidences that provide (pre-supposing the existence of god) proof that he exists.

Firstly, you may think : "How is god proving god exists not a circular argument? How can something provide evidence for its self ?" Although this is true, and hence it is supporting evidence (showing the need of history and apostolic succession of the church). Does science not also prove itself ? Science itself pre-suppose that truth and logic is objective for things to be observable and testable.

The first thing to consider is a hypothetical situation that vastly simplifies the explanation in the actions of existence.

The first unmoved - mover : imagine a plain white universe. There exists nothing but these constantly moving boxes, each box is moving forward to push the one in front of it infinitely. For the first box to have been moved, it first requires an "unmoved" - "mover". If this first "unmoved" box that by itself creates a "mover" attribute, does not exist. Then how do we explain how the boxes first began to move ? That first unmoved - mover, is a transcendental God. Although you can see how pre-supposing God here just suddenly "fills" in the gap, and might make it seem that we are just filling gaps in with God. This is not the case. To show an example in how it is not the case: a car has an engine or a train rides on train tracks. If we were to remove either the engine, or the train tracks (which both assist in creating the moving actions of those entities), we are left with an unexplainable motion of the car/train. The removing of the "engine" attribute of the car or the "train track" attribute from the train is akin to removing God from this equation of creation. If you remove the " (first)unmoved" - "mover" attribute from the equation, then how do we make sense of the motion of the boxes ? Science may try to expand its modules to understand something of this depth, and provide an non-God solution to it. But at this moment, there is no scientific solution, if there ever will be. To provide a "possibility" of reason, in exchange for the absolute solution of god doesn't make sense, at least to me.
