EDIT 5/8/24: Tentatively returning my review to positive given that the PSN decision has been supposedly reversed. However it's on all fans to be extremely aware that Sony is not to be trusted and that there is no guarantee they won't try to screw around again in the future. The game remains fantastic but don't let your guard down.

EDIT 5/2/24: After months of the game being fantastic the devs are being morons and trying to force every PC player to register a Playstation account for no reason. Terrible idea and wildly anti-consumer.

Original review: I hate live service games and haven't seriously played multiplayer in years but this game does everything right and gives you better, more exciting and unique gameplay in a single mission than most scripted AAA shooters do across their entire campaign. It's worth $60+ so the fact that it's priced like an indie game just makes it even more impressive.

Absurdly short, only fun in short bursts. It's a game about momentum and feeling incredibly fast and yet every other level forces you to a screeching halt and doesn't make good on the core gameplay premise. It's extremely pretty but that's about all it has going for it.
