Detective Grimoire is a fun and engrossing point-and-click mystery adventure!
The characters are well thought out and the dialogue has surprisingly good voice acting.\

Overall it is a very cute game and I would recommend it, especially if you're looking for a short game to pass some time.

The Darkness II is, unlike what the description says, is a triple-wield shooter based on the comic book series. Triple-wield because you actually only have the choice of using your tentacles, and two slots for guns in your hands. Nevertheless, the keyboard controls are actually not bad as I was expecting it to be cumbersome, to have three weapons in your hands at the same time.

As you progress through the game, you will unlock new abilities and "talents", as they call it, that either passively improve your weapons or present new ways of killing off enemies. For the first playthrough, which you should be focusing on the story first anyway, there's no worry of getting too overpowered as it's hard to unlock everything before the end of the game.

Speaking of the story, the writing is alright and the plot revolves around the themes of Love and Revenge, despite the fact that it may seem cliched. In short, you are a mafia boss who lost his girlfriend and can't get over her, so you decided to take revenge after your foes managed to interrupt your dinner (how rude!).

All in all, I would recommend this game if you like being a mafia boss. No, seriously.
(And of course, to live out your fantasies of having demonic powers with a vengeance - and possibly a dead girlfriend.)

P.S. Could be a gore-fest! :)
