Nice little game. The cards and maps don't take long to get used to. Finding a quick match takes a minute or so but there's also Twitch matchmaking which I haven't tried. Definitely recommend this with mods. I crashed my game with 4 players and 10+ cards :]

Great fun all around. Gets your blood pumping. It's a BR, so the overall gameplay is familiar and predictable.
I feel there's a lot more player movement in Apex than other BRs I've played. Sliding, climbing, teleporting, etc. Pairs well with the gunplay. The bullet drop and recoil are manageable. There's a good variety of weapons to suit your preferred fighting range, like when you switch from sniping one faraway team to spraying another team that crept up behind you.
On another note, I love the game sounds. Footsteps, gunfire, healing items, character abilities, and so on. Special mention to the hitmarker/impact sound which I find very satisfying.

If you're playing this game for what it is, you might get let down. Play it for what it could have been. It's counterintuitive but hear me out.

I finally got to play this game in late 2021, missing the pre-release hype train and the messy launch drama. I can see why people were so disappointed with the state of the game, as CP2077 does feel unfinished. Even now, over a year later, the bugs aren't hard to find around the world. Some questlines stop at a point where I'm left wanting more. And the balance between stealth and combat just doesn't feel right. I'm incentivised to calmly take my time knocking out every goon in a building, since going rambo and chucking nades everywhere is actually just as tedious while being messier. That's probably a big reason why my first playthrough took so long.

That said, I think the negatives stop there. The game's a lot cleaner now. None of the bugs I found during my first playthrough being gamebreaking. Some folks say the NPC bugs ruin immersion (they do), but they were quite funny for me. Seeing a truck violently shake because you piled on some corpses is exactly the kind of physics bug that makes me appreciate the state of video games today.

I felt that sentiment of appreciation through every part of the game. Cyberpunk's already got a fleshed out universe thanks to its tabletop origins, and I am reminded of that with every consumable or piece of equipment that I pick up. I spent hours just poring over the in-game books, getting a feel of what it's like to live in Night City. Earlier I mentioned questlines stopping, and I think that actually highlights how good the side stories were originally designed. I especially loved the tarot influence in V's journey, and while some of the character references were too on the nose, as a whole they added an intangible "old-ness". It's that difference between seeing a high-budget Hollywood blockbuster versus a small theater's reenactment of one of Shakespeare's plays.

The visuals and audio complement the worldbuilding. The art direction brings every nook and cranny of the future to life, with technicolor product branding contrasting the drab despair of Night City's slums. Clothes, cars, weapons, everything feels futuristic, but still rooted in today's sensibilities. The music's impeccable; I've found that the biggest audio plus for me is when a game's combat music isn't annoying me. There's great variety in the radio tracklists that adds to Night City's 'pressure' and restlessness. The score didn't always catch my attention, but when it did it was truly effective in making me feel tension, worry, longing, and every other emotion V should be feeling.

At the time of writing this review, I'm starting my second playthrough with a 'no stealth' goal. It's simply too unimmersive to experience all the endings on one character, since all the narrative and character development contribute to the ending you choose (contribute as in lorewise, not the "every choice matters" shtick). This game has been an amazing experience while still being this unfinished. I have no doubt in my mind that CP2077 had the potential to become one of the greatest video games of all time. I write this review in the hopes that I can convince you to join me in witnessing something beautiful and lost.

I broke my spacebar from slide-jumping :')

To my benefit, I never tried Warframe during its rockier early days, so I never really had to slog through the numerous changes I keep hearing about from older players. So all I can say is prepare to spend a lot of time grinding in this game. Even now I still don't know where I'll be if I keep grinding. But killing aliens is pretty cool.

The main interaction you'll have with this game is through your spacebar, to pause and resume time. This game is really just a big exercise in waiting for things to happen. Though I don't think you need to be patient to play the game. Just be willing to read a bit and plan a bit. Then set the game clock to max. Then pause, read a bit more, resume. The game has a cyclical rhythm, and it's rather easy to get in the zone. I never really know if I've had fun every time I close the game, or if I like the game at all... I just know how to make a day feel much shorter.

Regarding DLCs, they do brighten the experience, but if you don't like the base game then getting DLCs probably won't help. Conversely, if you do like the base game, the DLCs make the game a lot more replayable.

CS:GO Review
CS:GO is simple and satisfying: tap head win game. There's a variety of ways to outplay your opponents. You can rely on reaction time, aim, spray control, etc. You can outmaneuver the enemy team with map knowledge and strategy. You can work with your teammates to hold angles and cover each other. The game isn't very flashy with its design, theme, lore, those kinds of thing. The game's sounds and visuals are distinct and straightforward.
Compared to newer FPSes, CS:GO lacks healing, the ability to aim down sights on all guns, and several other mechanics improvements. As a result, this game's speed feels different overall: bursts of intense action amongst lengths of suspense and anticipation. I think those variations in speed are found in other early online multiplayer games.
I spent most of my hours on this game with good friends. CS:GO is one of those games that is best enjoyed with a 'stack'. The uncluttered gameplay encourages the players to do the thinking. The lengths of suspense give more room for the team to communicate. The extra thinking and communicating allows for interesting plays and mindgames, making for great laughs.

I cannot recommend starting Dota (or any other MOBA for that matter) on your own. The game itself is complicated enough, and there are no 'rounds' a la CS:GO to serve as real breaks, especially with respawn buyback in this game. You're stuck the whole match with your teammates, who may be complete baboons. You will be bad at this game for the longest time in your life.

However, if you do have friends willing to start playing with you, you'd be hard pressed to find a game more worth your time than Dota. Even if I have never improved after 6 years of this damn game, I rarely had any dull moments when playing with my friends. There are a million ways I wish I played this game differently, but I have zero regrets picking up this game. Hopefully neither do you.

Also Gaben will be swimming in your skins money.
