Considering the price for it right now is about the same price as a Coke, this one is worth it. The game has you constantly falling in randomly generated levels with an unforgiving 30 second timer. I find the way its set out gives off that feeling of panic, but makes one pull off some stylish room clearing. Also it has level creation that i just love to mess around with and make others suffer.

Is the game worth it at full price? not really. there are not too much choices in bosses and other content unless you shell out for the DLC, and there are other Rouge-likes that give more then what this game offers in comparison. But at 50p? (heck even adding the dlc for 39p) its a great time waster and pretty addicting.

A bit of my review is on the basis that i have been playing bomberman games before i knew my dang alphabets, so it didnt take too long to get a good idea about the game, its honestly quite good considering the asking price is free. I dont have much intrest in the character creation aspect but it might be overpriced for a large amount. i think a good note worthy idea is to have themed packs for less money so players can pick what they want. either way they do look cute and the games controls are quite solid. I hope there will be more powerups to add into the game in the future to mess with but in its current state its a nice game to reccomend. Give some unlockable/rank rewards or other aspects and you got something even better, but at the moment its a fun couchless couch party game.

(as i play more i will update this review overtime)

A note that there will be quite the wall of test, if you want a flat out summery, if you payed over £20, you offically payed too much for what your getting. ONLY get it on sale for £20, or lower if your lucky. Other then that, I dont think at is price a reccomendation is worth it.

I was given this game as a birthday gift and i can say as a whole, i have had quite alot of fun with it. I would be lying to you if i said it was absolute trash. Dissapointing at points? oh hell yes, alot of the problems with the release of Street Fighter 5 has the same issues seep into this game too. But like that game, i did enjoy my time with it and i am thankful for the gift. Now lets get to the grittyness of if you should get it.

Pros
-Controls, while in need of constant balancing and patching (WEB BALL! REALITY STONE! "cough") is quite solid and well made. auto combo system can be disabled so new players can do some neat combos, while older ones can turn it off and mess around in the lab to create their own.

-SPECIFIC Roster characters
Thanos
Sigma
X
Jedah
Monster hunter (and neat alternate outfit)
Venom at some point
I will admit some choices of who got removed or replaced makes me wanna slap Capcom until they go crosseyes, there is a few nice picks

-Competition
Since the other fighting games that were well... hyped to say the least, this may put pressure on capcom to place the game at a bit of a lower price to compensate, or pay attention to the players and add in content that should be there in the first place. (unless they are saving that for Hyper super Ultra Infinite Hyperbolic Marvel Vs Capcom)

Cons

-Music
Its not a good sign when this is the first fighting game where i would actively look for any other fighting game music to replace this one. the only song that did sound good was Zero and Jedah. Capcom characters got a better end of that stick, but the stick was still nothing compared to every other mvc game that had a whole dang branch.

-DLC price
Hearing the horror stories from my friends and looking down on the comments, its clear that this game is doing a really horrid job in managing its download content. Then again this seems like industry standered in "most" triple A games so it would be impressive if they dropped the price down or something instead of making the prices so over the top it makes the season pass.

-Hacking
Sooo, this is a bit suprising since it happened so fast. i have not gotten into another hacker match in a while but double dantes, Ultron Sigma, that certainly needs to be adressed, a bit more of a piority then your DRM,(music mod can stay right where it is ._.) that reminds me

-DRM
This is stupid for a fighting game. The game patches alot so its not like Blazblue,Guilty Gear,Undernight,Every other street fighter, King of fighters and a metric tonne of other fighting games games that dont have this. When i fire up my mvci game while the net is either down or being upgraded when i have people over, the last thing we want to see is that message.

I do have more issues about the character balance as a whole that patches dont seem to be sorting too well,
Dante+Dormammu tend to be quite the vortex. The end of arcade mode is...painful. Net code must be weird since i seem to find it hard to get into a match sometimes (this seems to be more forgiving on the ps4 one, but thats what ive heard) And outside of Jedah, who seems to just be having absolute fun with his voicelines and just fun to hear, everyone else sounds either not into their role, or sounds completly off (why does Morrigan sound like a Eastenders cockney?)

but keeping it short and sweet until i play it a bit more (blazblue is still around sooo, priorities) i feel that we ALL know Capcom can do better then this, so when the competition (well, more competition) comes next year, then lets hope to see some improvement. Get it on a discount and a newish player may enjoy the game, while more experienced mvc players will feel less of a sting if they feel dissapointed.

From the first few hours of derping around with this game (as with every RPG maker prior) This has left quite an impact on me. Content wise is vastly better then Ace and VX, with quite an intresting Character generator that i want to tamper with a little, see if i can make a whole set of new sprite types. The plugin system takes a bit of getting use to but i see it as a great way to get deeper into coding and scripting when you feel ready for it, or experimenting with some amazing scripts to enhance that game. i may update this little reviewishy thing since i wanna get deeper into this but i would say if your mind is creative, go for it and make a game with this. tools are there, the drive is all you need now.

Keep in mind this is from a player who has played on the EU, US and korean sever respectively (residing in the EU sever)

and This only directed for new players. There are intire forms and posts chatting about if this game is good, but my main concern is if the community is welcoming to the new faces. a New player will start of getting use to the playble characters, and the controls, getting little small rewards and get that little bit of confidence and begin to enjoy the game.

however, there is a MASSIVE GAP when it comes to what level of skill you are. It doubles since the communities that ive noticed (i dont know about the korean one, they tend to either be friendly or we dont understand each other owo) do have that tendancy to be extreamly toxic, overcompetative or just outright rude. Im expecting to see some improvement, but im getting WAY off subject,

Pros
ALOT of Characters,Gears and able to create amazingly cool combos
Switch system enhances the gameplay and tactics during a fight(change characters anytime)
A couple of known characters from other games, comics, movies, ect.
A large selection of PVP modes and a couple of PVE modes

Cons
Insane skill gap concerning new players and Returning players
While non paying members can gain powerful gear through events, paying players are able to get a small advantage
The Meta of the game can be very frustrating if you intend to branch out and use somthing out of the Meta
Characters that are from other games are mainly only for paying players
If you have a tendancy to lag, specific attacks will be either greatly buggy or 100% inneffective
Community normally is Toxic, but this is steam, that might be somthing able to change.

ive played this game for quite a few years, and i gotta say, to new players, or gonna have to grit your teeth. I recommend it, but i will say you will be dragged kicking and screaming for a good few months before you get to a normal level. and to the Vet players? play nice for a while :/ ease them into it.
