Rocket League made the Top 3 of my all-time favourite games very quickly. After playing it for approximately 4 years, I never seem to get bored of it. The more you play the more you learn, by mastering your mechanical skills and learning how to adapt in a team, or around people whose playstyle is different than the ideal you are looking for. Something that has always been a challenge due to the game's competitiveness.

I believe that these two reasons, the mechanical skills and the challenging environment, along with the gameplay rarity, are the most vital for this game's success.

Moreover, Psyonix did a great job by supporting the game since the beginning. Either by constantly updating/fixing issues or by introducing interesting in-game events.

My advise is to try the game but have patience at the beginning, until you become familiar with the basics. After that, I believe you will never regret getting it !
