Minecraft, kind of, in space. While I'm not a fan of Minecraft personally, the in space aspect changes things entirely for me and makes it worthwhile. In this game, You can build as big as you want, (or until the server crashes) or as compact as you want. The building tools are really powerful and the options you have for blocks are quite impressive however, they can take a while to get used to, because of the 3D nature of the rotation. As this is a simulated space game, the blocks you use do matter, so your "Battle Brick" won't be as effective as in some other games.

I do have a lot of hours in this game but most of those are in previous versions. The game itself is in constant development but story is not the strong suit. If you want a sandbox empire / ship builder though, this is a good one.

In conclusion, I fully recommend this game with the normal caveats that come with Early Access titles. Buyer discretion.

Do you like Minecraft but thought to yourself, "Man this would be so much better if I could automate this process."? Is yes, then this game is for you.

You start off with nothing but a couple of fossil fuel burners and build and tech up to a giant industrial complex capable of handling staggering amounts of resources every minute with the ultimate goal of getting off the very rock you've been working on. After all, the natives aren't exactly happy to see you.

Arcade Space Shooter. Get spaceships with giant lasers and compete against other people or co-operate with a team for PvE based objectives. A very solid game even if the premium ships and modules are a little pricey.
That said though, this game is NOT pay to win. It's just pay to save time.

For an indie game, this is a masterpiece. By AAA standards, it's better and plays smoother than a lot of new titles. You can tell the developers really cared about this project.

The game itself plays like an arcade classic shooter however, the RPG elements offer a lot of extra gameplay and replayability. The ability to customise your ship however you want and the large variety of hulls to choose from, including 2 player hulls (pilot and gunner) there is a lot of content here.

Multiplayer is unfortunately dead however, the SDL is still fun to play, even against AI. I'm hoping that when word of this game gets out a little more that the multiplayer will pick up.

If you like games like S.P.A.Z and / or are a fan of the twin-stick shooter genre then this game is deffinately worth a look at. If you're not a fan of those then the story is still very good, worth reading the companion novel for.

I'd recommend this game to anyone with even a passing interest in space combat.

Also, the soundtrack is amazing.

Space, Pirates and Zombies ... and bounty hunters, Whats not to love?
