Game would not run on my computer, had to refund

Great game, low computer requirements, hours of game play. See review for Risk of Rain original!

I rarely do reviews for games, and do not expect this to truly give full insight to how great of a game it is. I can honestly say that I have not played a game, like this, in a long, long, long time. The open world is truly an example of what open world games should be going forward, less hand holding and more critical thinking on the users part. There are plenty of bugs you may in counter, but none that have broken the full experience, and the developers have been proactive in addressing them in current patches. This game can be hard, and you will hit brick walls, but you always have an opportunity move on to another area until you are prepared or practiced enough to continue were you left off. This game is not perfect, but it by far is better then most titles out there. No in games currencies, no long and tedious walk through starter events, nothing easy until you make it easy by learning the game through trial and error. I look forward to future patches, possible DLC's, and titles from the same developer, they will always have support so I thank you From Software, for truly breaking the mold on modern gaming, and hope other studies follow suite.

Something that was missing for a long time in video game industry was a Harvest Moon styled game. Stardew Valley offers a rich story line with some very unique perspectives on life in small communities. The more you become acquainted with each of the towns folk in Stardew valley the more each of their stories unfold. Countless hours could be played to reach all the acheivements int the game. Many different ways to earn money in the game, so your not just limited to farming the whole the time. My only complaints would be the occasional bug (Sound may go out randomly, but does come back), but none are game breaking and from what I have read the developers are very dedicated to fixing any known issues. I'm looking forward to a Stardew valley 2, or some expansion that offers more areas to explore. Great game overall, I have been very impressed. I would give this game:
