Although I love the shole series, and I think it is a rare example of love and art put into gaming, the ending(s) were a little underwhelming in my opinion. We see many of the events unfurl and being explained, but the center of it all feels a little... I don't know... rushed, maybe? But just in the very last few gaming hours.
But, aside from that, I really recommend this game and the whole series as a whole: the artwork is the most gorgeous of all games I've played in recent years, the soaundtrack is excellent and the gameplay is ever improving since the first game.

I rate it a 7.5/10

Nice game.

It looks very promising for a survival horror open world. Since it's the 0.01 alpha, obviously it is full of bugs, glitches and an awful lot of clipping through walls and terrain, not to mention that many terrain features just don't load at all. But, as I said, it is completely normal for a game in development. I hope they throw a little bit of story too, although going with the sandbox choice isn't a bad idea.
For the good things: the fauna and flora are completely immersive, the crafting system is awesome, the interactions with the enviroment are very well thought of and it is so tense that when I saw the cannibals the first time I got really, really scared. Stuff that I haven't experienced in quite some time.
For me, this eraly alpha gets a 7/10. It shows promise, It has potential. Kudos for the developers!

And yes, I'm very, very, very angry and frustrad with this game, and I don't recommend it at all to tru lovers and fans of the Ace Combat series. I'm playing the series since Ace Comabt 3: Electrosphere for tthe PS1 and I felt highly disappointed by the gameplay mechanics choices that have been made for Assault Horizon, completely discarding the provebial "bread & butter" of the series. To be more specific: they cut down the simulation in exchance for action, which didn't worked out well enough, as it seems that the simulation is much less realistic than the preveious games, despite the surreal and fictional weapons from the previous ones. I won't go down in more details since I've alreay expressed them on my angry rant above, which I am sorry if I offended someone or sounded threatening. I just couldn't hold my emotional outrburst.
If you're a fan of modern action and casual (and rather silly) games, I recommend it. Give it a try and you might enjoy it.
For hardcore Ace Combat fans like me, I probably don't have to say anything else.
