God I wish I could recommend this game in the current state but I can't. I honestly find it hard to give a good opinion on the gameplay because my experience is too tainted by performance. Everything felt like a slog because the game ran so slowly on my laptop, and this thing has handled much more graphically intense games at 120+FPS. The game is very poorly optimised and it hurts everything about the experience...like playing a game through treacle.

Once optimised I'm sure this'll be great and I might have had a better time when using my eGPU but there's no reason for this to not be running great on a light machine.

This game is GREAT. It's hard, truly one mistake can lead to you eating a big old L, but it's got so much depth. The randomly generated leaders are a great addition, my only bugbear is that the balancing of the leaders really does need some tweaking. Often you'll have 3 extremely weak options which sucks

Possibly the most engaged I've been with a rougelite since Binding of Isaac! Great fun to play with friends, surprising amount to discover behind what seems to be a pretty simple game. Looking forward to more!

This world isn't procedurally generated and you can tell, it's an absolute pleasure to explore. On top of that the factory-building mechanics are probably some of the best that I've come across. The ability to unlock alternate recipes for components keeps it interesting, you never know when you might find something that'll optimise a sticking point in your build. But even with the base recipes, you can build pretty clean factories. Played a lot single player, and its even more fun with a friend or two! Really looking forward to seeing what more gets introduced.

This game is hard, and at times unfair, but that's what you sign up for. Unforgiving fun trying to establish your colony on a Rimworld!

This is the second copy I've bought of this game (first copy on PS4, #completed), which I grabbed for twitch mode while I'm streaming. It's a super tight platformer, balls to the walls hard, but the main reason I love it is that it feel really good when you get into "flow". Once you've learnt a leve, there's an old school sonic-like rhythm to your jumps and moves.


I will admit I doubt this game's for everyone but if you're into speedrunnning, you'll love it.
