Just needed the game for Gmod

An interesting attempt to make Quake a class based shooter that inherently falls flat. Certain heroes being locked behind pay walls is very annoying especially considering games like TF2 where all classes are unlocked for free. I understand iD and Bethesda are a company and need to make money but the fact a Quake game has you pay for additional characters that change the way a game can be played entirely is really scummy. The game has a lootbox system in the vein of Overwatch and that isn't something I am a fan of at all. Quake is a game I think of to get away from lootbox nonsense and micro transactions yet Bethesda and iD are loading this game with it. All that aside the gameplay is OK. The base gameplay and gun fights are very fun and almost identical to other Quake games, but the issue lies in the classes. Having this crazy fast paced gameplay of Quake and having ultimates and other crazy stuff like Overwatch just doesn't work. It really sucks too because the gameplay underneath the ultimates is very solid. Sadly I'm gonna have to say I don't recommend this game. I do suggest picking up Quake live if you want a fun multiplayer experience.

it is a video game

It's an amazing combat centric game with a fantastic story and great post game content and fun mini games. I highly suggest picking up this game.
