It's alright

One of my favorite DLCs for New Vegas, or for any game. The fun deviations from the norm are very clever and unique, turning the standard RPG of Fallout into a survival horror game with very minor tweaks. The characters are fantastic, I absolutely adore the story, the level design and aesthetics are top-notch, and I just plain had fun playing it.

I see a lot of negative review for Dead Money hating on one gameplay feature or another (the radios in particular). I couldn't understand what the others were talking about, because I had a blast trying to work around them. This DLC turned navigating the levels themselves into a fun puzzle filled with traps that reward observant and quick-witted players.

Combat feels scary, you're always a bit low on ammo and forced to scavenge everything, and overall it's just a nice change of pace compared to the base game. This is all to say nothing of the absolutely amazing story and characters.

Several of the changes implemented in Dead Money actively punish you if you go in guns-blazing or loot-happy like you would in regular Fallout. The DLC trains you to see things in a new light. I think some players might have disliked Dead Money because they expected it to be like the rest of New Vegas, and didn't enjoy the change. I would recommend you give Dead Money a try, and keep an open mind when interacting with the changes to how the game plays. Don't be afraid to give up on habits you learned while playing New Vegas proper. Don't go in with preconceived notions or rigid expectations for what it'll be like, and enjoy the DLC for what it is. Like the game itself says... the hard part is letting go.

One of the first games to ever get me hooked, released in all its glory on PC. How can you not pick it up?

A fantastic game. Fun, challenging, and extremely addictive. To fans of turn-based strategy games, this is a must-have.

Before it became a meme, it was still a fun hidden-role game. Any game that's fun with friends and able to break the collective brains of a generation gets the thumbs-up from me!

Among all TBS games, Civ V reigns supreme. It has hundreds of hours of replayability, endless variation, and a great blend of detailed micromanagement with a low skill floor for players who like to be less granular. I can load up a random game with a random leader, and play for hours taking my empire from the ancient era to the information age. I never get bored, and with the excellent modding community there's an infinite supply of new and enjoyable add-ons to finely tune your experience.

And all that's just the singleplayer!

Civ V multiplayer is great fun. Grab three or four of your friends, and compete for world domination while privately text chatting to team up and betray your allies. Once you include other human players, the real political intrigue gets involved and elevates the game to an even higher level of fun.

The only downsides to the game are minor ones. Namely it can be boring waiting for multiplayer wars to drag on with consecutive turns, and the game suffers without the (in my opinion must-have) G&K and BNW expansions.

I cannot recommend the game enough. Truly it's a testament to how great the game is, that IMO it surpasses its own sequel in quality! I suggest you purchase the complete bundle to get the expansions as well as some of the great DLC civs.

This is the hardest game I have ever played. I will probably never beat it. I try again hundreds of times, always to be crushed anew.

You need to buy this game and play it immediately.

The single greatest game for fun co-op with friends. Been my go-to couch game at parties for a decade.
