Welcome to my profile page
As I type this, I am watching frogs hunt moths outside my window. It has been very entertaining watching them over the past several weeks. They have gotten very good at it. All I need is David Attenborough to narrate the action and I would be at peace. Come the winter, the frogs and the moths will be gone. Let this custom info box on my steam profile page be the eternal reminder of the fascination of nature just outside the window. :faerie:

I'm not particularly interested in trading TF2 items. I'll trade most anything else. Have a look below. I even snagged a bunch of games before Steam disabled the ability to buy to inventory.:TheShark:

This game is really fun. While it's not perfect, it's extremely engaging and there's always something fun to do.

-Cons
Throwing weapons extremely difficult to aim. There IS an AIM assist stat that you can increase with gear and maybe some high level gear or skill dramatically changes things, but for the most part I've found these weapons to be wholly ineffective. Your best strategy is always going to be pistols/smgs or swords.

There are stealth mechanics but no real way to engage in stealth beyond the first few enemies. I would think that if you could leap directly to an enemy with your sword drawn it should initiate a stealth kill sequence. Murdering people in one room alerts enemies in another room which is also kind of annoying since it essentially means once you alert anyone the entire map is on alert. You can run away but the missions are timed and taking too long detracts from your score.

Sometimes the AI stops responding for some enemies, this is particularly an issue when you've killed everyone else and a guy is tucked in a corner aware like he's playing hide the pylon in StarCraft and you have to hunt for him for l ike 5 minutes. There are skills to help you detect enemies from farther away but these shouldn't be necessary. Once the number of enemies dwindles to a small number they should just be permanently visible.

-Pros
Action is intense, lots of difficulty options, lots of loot to collect and skills to level up. Honestly aside from the issues I mentioned above everything else about this game is fantastic and it's definitely a great game for your library even if you're a total novice at VR the easy mode difficulty makes it possible for anyone to play.

The video trailer in my opinion gives a pretty poor opinion about what this game is actually like. It's a combo based action game like Devil May Cry or similar types of stuff. You have a basic combo or whatever, and then eventually it'll end, but you can switch characters to keep the combo going. There are skills that will help you follow enemies and keep the hit count up. Every so often, you hit a combo threhshold that permanently increases your damage by 10%, so the better your combos, the more damage you do. You lose significant damage buff if you get hit, so it's a win=win more, lose=lose harder type of rewarding system that really plays to the type of person who can attack enemies relentlessly while not getting hit in the process because mindless button mashing.

This is actually the second Anima: Beyond Fantasy based Video Game. The first is called Anima: Ark of Sinners, but it is a totally separate side story that has nothing to do with this game. If you're not familiar with Anima: Beyond Fantasy, a lot of people will probably tell you it's some Final Fantasy-inspired P&P RPG, but the truth is, it's got way more inspiration from Xenogears than anything else. There is quite a bit of backstory that players not familiar with the RPG won't know about, but they are not necessary to understand the plot of the game. The significance of some characters like Romeo Exxet might be lost on you, but overall it's not a huge deal to the plot of the game itself.

It has a slow start, but it's very good if you give it a chance. After the first few stages is when you unlock the game proper and gain access to skill trees for both characters and such. It has a little RPG style elements, obviously, but it's still predominantly an action game. I highly recommend checking this out. If you like the game and want more, I highly recommend checking out the P&P Anima: Beyond Fantasy game which is among one of my favorite P&P RPGs. Just be aware it's a Spanish game, the English-translation is kind of mediocre, and being European, the rules are fairly crunchy.
