Bruh... Such hype, much meh...

Short: Breathtaking!

In Detail: For my own experience, this is definitively one the best games that I have ever played. There are numerous reason why is that the case and will go into more details but this ain't gonna be praise only, this gem is magnificent but there are some serious dents on it.

Story is by far the strongest card and most impactfull aspect of this game. When you sit on this ride, you will be driven and it is going to be a hell of a ride till end, no matter which end you gonna finish, you gonna feel it (some will hit more than other) and along that whole ride, you will care and when game does this, you know that is something that was done right. One thing that needs to be said, although you have life paths in the beginning, they wont make much difference, few dialogue options that don't make any impact can't be counted as a different experience, so when you go for play, go into that ride, immerse yourself and enjoy that story to the fullest.

Atmosphere that will be around you is truly wonderful, from the visuals first (city, clothes, vehicles, weapons, technology, people and everything that you see), which is top of the line. Creative people behind it did an amazing job by translating this whole idea and vibe into an actual digital world, which you can actually feel it and again be immersed in it (to a great degree). As for the music and audio, well that whole department did even better work, from sound design, producers behind voice actors and actual music (new that was made for this game and selected is spot on and almost everyone can find some that they gonna like) and with that, your senses will enjoy this game.

Now to talk about few of the elephants that are casually left in the room. Open world aspect of it, well it just isn't there and you will never feel it, no matter how big city is, how much things you can see and do, in the end you will feel the constraints of the game and lack of free will, since there isn't much that you can do with it, side quests, gigs and scanners, when you finish it all, beside few hidden secrets and locations, nothing much will be left except to finish the story.
Of course, main problem behind this and everything else that you will feel during this game that something is missing (including trailers with hype which promised something and things that were actually excluded) is due to a fact that game was rushed in the end and released at least full year (maybe even year and a half) before it should have, To much pressure was forced on the creative and development team and they cracked with not enough time to polish everything and make sure that at least glitches, bugs, exploits and missing element are so damn obvious (and I'm talking about PC experience only, other platforms will not even gonna comment).

I played this game when it was launched and played it now almost full year after release (with numerous patches and fixes), completed all achievements, got almost all secrets, weapons, stories and quest in about 200 h of gameplay, and no matter the fact that I still feel that this is one of the best games that I played (even with these issues), still I feel a bit sad that this game had a potential to be masterpiece and to be considered by all one of the best games ever developed, it will always be remembered by game that missed its target and it will eventually fade away as good game with potential that was ruined by the same greed and corporate decisions that game itself preaches against, how irony struck the seal on this package.

To conclude this review, I definitely recommend this game. If you still can wait, wait for more content and more things to be added and fixed, so that you can enjoy it more but try to not over-hype yourself, enjoy the story, focus on it, explore all the quests, embrace all of it and finish it, without any outside walkthroughs or opinions, that could be a recipe for good experience in the end.

Short: Amazing war game!

In Detail: Usually I'm not the type of player who likes shooter games, because in most cases that is the main ingredient of it and in case of Hell Let Loose, only part of the great picture. Other things such as strategy, tactics and cooperation on the team side is was makes this game really awesome. So people who don't like voice communication (since chat is not effective and fast enough for seconds that can change the outcome of the situation or even game), who don't like giving the proper orders or listen to orders and also think that being solo warrior is an option in this game, well they will all have a bad time there, and for others who play with them, will certainly spot those weak links in the each game.


Graphics and the entire visual part of the game is really good in many aspect, it does look beautiful and will enhance the experience but there are also a lot of problem in this area. FPS drops will occur very often, your CPU will struggle with it (doesn't matter how good it is) since optimisation is not yet done properly. There is a lot of things in this area that needs to be redone and improved but even now, it is still the positive aspect in the overall score.


Game mechanics is the best part of this game, roles and framework which is provided to players is very well-developed but yet again there are still some big flaws present.

Roles in this game are versatile enough, there are some good and more impactful ones but also some of them are not balanced or interesting enough to be used as a personal choice. However game is still in early access and development of the game is active, which will for certain change many things in this area as well (probably for the better).

Actual combat area is also very well designed but yet again there are flaws, which makes people complain that this game is a walking simulator (for a good reason). People are used to instant action and going from place A to place B, which can be boring task, especially if there is no spawn points near and you die on the road to the objective. This is one of the reason people choose to use simple path (and not flank or strategically use the terrain in their advantage) and then everyone become part of the meat grinder and cycle of redeploy/walk/die/repeat, since it takes time and effort to place yourself better on the field. However game actually provides all the tools and options how to overcome those obstacles but it requires very good cooperation and teamwork (and where there is lack of it, people complain and have a bad game).

Weapons, vehicles and structures are interesting part of the game, there are some good and there are some bad, which is not inaccurate but also don't expect historically accurate depiction of it, all of it have their own purpose and they balance the game in a good way but not everybody will agree on this part.


To conclude this review, this is really an amazing World War 2 simulation, for team players, people who like strategy and thinking on a bigger scale, even to role play in some degree, this is definitely game to have. As said before, game is still in early access, so players who played it year before me and people who will play a year from now, will all have much different experience (but for what I can see, development is going in good direction).

For me, I will certainly play this game in future and if you in doubt is the price worth it, yeah it is but add it to the wishlist and buy it when it is on discount, I did the same thing but in retrospective I wish that I had it sooner :)

Short: Manual attempt to have fun :)

In Detail: Pleasantly surprised by the game, didn't have much hope before I bought it, videos and images didn't hype me enough but I'm glad that I listed to the recommendation and got this game.

Story of the game is very well designed, especially giving the fact that it needed to be tailored to suit the manual things in the full extent. Game mechanics along with wicked characters and situations just make the game more entertaining and fun to play (although keep in mind that movements and reactions of the character are not intended to help you but to make your task more painful).

Visual style of the game is great, although graphics not that much, but when you have a good idea and clear goal ahead, than the outcome can't be anything less then positive experience. Music background and audio is good also but it will get quickly boring if you play the game on repeat. Narration is very important part of the game experience and even if you rush it will be good but at least play it one time with the full cinematic.

Game also provides you with the Co-op option, which I highly recommend to try it out with your playing partner/friend/teammate. This part will probably give you in the end best memories and entertainment, especially if you first finish campaign in single player mode, then laugh to and with someone else :)

In overall, I really enjoyed the game and I do recommend it to get it on the first chance, only thing that I dislike was the time trials, it was annoying to get all the gold trophies, but unless you are an achievement hunter, just avoid it. If you don't approve the price, put it on the wishlist and get it as soon it hits sales discount.

Short: Good sequel of great idea.

In Detail: When you play a sequel of the game that you liked, there is always doubt, will it be able as good as the previous one or...
Well luckily for me, this second part of the game was actually the type of improvement my experience needed, based from the first one. However not to over-praise the game, for me that improvement was not based on the complexity of the puzzles but the variety of puzzles and the setups for each chapter. So as a player from previous game, game did not push me to some new unfamiliar ground, but they gave what you already learned, how to use and solve things and made sure to expand the locations, visual styles, elements and object that are used as part of the chapter and that was a winning combination for me.

Mechanics of the game is still the least enjoyable part of this experience, sometimes it will bother you, especially if you ignore the idea how developers intended this game to be played but it is not bad, just annoying at few places, especially since this part has much bigger rooms, more part of the puzzle that are not from same area and due to this and on some rare occasions it is hard to distinguish what is part of the puzzle and what you do need solve it, without touching every single place that you can, in order to try and figure out what to do next.

Visual part of this game is enhanced by introducing new areas, objects, elements and animations. I really enjoyed this new addition of visuals and for this part I do praise them. Could the quality of it be better, yeah sure, but it really doesn't have any real need to do it, for my own sake, everything that was done on this part is spot on.

As for the first game, I will strongly recommend this game and praise it to people I know. Price is still fair for the experience that it provides but even if you don't want to pay for full amount, put it right away to the wishlist and grab it as soon as you see it on sale.

p.s. For all achievement hunters and people who like to complete the game to 100% on this part, all achievement are gained naturally through the course of gameplay so you can play and enjoy it without the need to think about this aspect.

Short: Very satisfying experience!

In Detail: Without any prejudice/expectations, I bought this game on a sale and after completing the game, I can only say WOW.
I rarely get impressed by the effort and idea of something that was completely unknown to me but yeah, I was actually happy by the experience this game provided me in the end.

For the game itself, visuals and style of the game is extremely good and I enjoyed it through the gameplay. Important thing about visual implementation is that background for each chapter is good but focus was very well designed to emphasise what you should be looking at, nothing is out its way to show it to your face, but when you observe carefully each task/side/section you can always see what part of it is the puzzle and what is there for the esthetic value. For everything related to the visuals of the game, highest opinion on that part.

Puzzles are very well designed, not too easy but also not that complex to run on the internet to search for guides or walk-through, each piece has its own purpose and each task has its own answer and when you understand how the mechanics of the game works exactly, you will be able to focus on important things and solve each thing naturally (I had only two places that really forced me to re-investigate entire setup of the chapters). So to conclude this part, I really enjoyed puzzles although some of them could be a bit harder but in the end I played it for a bit less than 3 hours and I enjoyed each minute of that experience.

Other side of the coin, game mechanics/control, which will probably bother some people who don't have that much patience or willingness to understand how developers intended it to work in comparison of how you expect things to work. Story is also present and in some extent appropriate but very irrelevant to the experience that solving puzzles presents..

I will certainly recommend this game outside this review and praise it to all people who like puzzles and this type of entertainment. For my opinion, price is on the spot and for reference if you like escape rooms, your participation in it usually costs more for less time that you will get here. But even if you consider it too expensive, put it on wishlist and buy it on a first chance when it is on sale.

Short: Great game without any doubt!

In Detail: After all these time, I have finally played this game and now I can hop on train that yells: "Where is Half Life 3 already" :)
To break this review into few sections. first thing to mention is the story, which is the best part of this game. Plot is very well developed, narrative and pacing is all on the spot, I have no complain about it, only praise for the experience that it provides.
Mechanics of the game is not for my taste but certainly on some occasions, it provides great fun and enhances the experience (gravity gun, I'm looking at you). However on some other places, scripting of the game did cause issues in the play time which forced me to reload previous autosaves due to bugs that didn't allow me to continue the progress.
Graphic part is the weakest part of it, but since this is old game by all standard now, it is reasonable and either way no one wanted to play this game for the superb graphics, but for the awesome story. Although to be honest, game has some very cool visual style, views and setups (both outdoor and indoor) and Citadel looks really amazing.

I would really recommend playing this game, because it provides good experience to players and even for achievement hunters, if you pay attention to guides, you can finish the game and get 100% in one run.

Short: Game is mkay! Mkay?

In Detail: Well first of all, this is South Park, so if you love this brand, then you should get it no matter whatever someone says about it :)

After completed game I can say that experience from the first one (Stick of Truth) is much different. On the positive side, graphic element is much more better, story is longer and has much more variety (although first is much funnier) and also provides unique experience on it's own, which is a good thing. Game is much more linear and can be completed in one run (achievement hunters), so in that sense you know that it is completed (but that means it's not replayable) when you end that run.
On the negative side, game mechanic is very obvious to be intended to be for console experience, which can be really annoying for all PC players (|microagression catched", i laughed at my own joke) and that will be especially obvious when trying to use R (investigate mode ) and Tab (in game menu). Combat system is much more prettier than the first one, it has much more skills and effects but on the other hand I really enjoyed more the Stick of Truth system.

However I really recommend playing this game, it offers a cool story and good experience.

Short: Indeed very good game.

In Detail: Whoever loved the Road Rush games (either from Sega or PS 1), then this should be not be even the option to consider, it is must play in that case.
For everybody else who may consider playing this game, if you like senseless violence, wacky physics, racing and spikes of adrenaline, than yeah go ahead and grab yourself a copy of this game.
Visually this game is good enough for experience that it provides and shouldn't be the main concern of anyone who plays this game, levels are mostly very repetitive along with background but it doesn't affects the gameplay. In a sense of variety there is not much that game can offer but on the other hand, each character and bike will provide you with very different experience (some of the are quite hard).
Skill tree will make game much easier (however some characters don't have access to it) and after 10h of play, you should be able to tackle any challenge. Weapons are not versatile enough and later mission do rely on fire arms. but still should be fine.

Achievement hunters will have to play this a lot, mainly to first unlock characters and then to finish with them (everything else should be done during that gameplay).

All in all, game is fun to play, it is repetitive as said, but with music, your own play style and hunting achievements, it should provide at least 20h+ hours of nice experience).

Short: Nice game :)

In Detail: This game can be described in single player and multiplayer (local/couch mode) experience. For the later one, game provides very nice interaction and gameplay for everyone involved, levels are not too hard and with the enjoyment, it can be finished without too much stress. If you have anyone at home to play with you this game, then by all means go ahead and take it. For single player experience, well this game will not be rewarding or even easier, on the contrary, no matter how good you are last levels are almost impossible to finish (get 3 stars) alone and by itself nothing will reward you playing solo, so no recommendation on this part.

Graphics are moderate and design is good enough for the aim of this game, which is excellent co-op experience (in local mode, not over the internet). If you don't have someone in home or friends that are frequent at your house, avoid this title and get Overcooked 2 right away and yes this is the second time I mentioned it, but it really is a huge difference in overall experience.

For the achievement hunters, most of them you can easily get through the regular gameplay but if you aim for 100%, then again make sure to play it with someone locally or make sure to get your gameplay to perfection (since you will need it for 3 stars while playing alone).
