DO NOT PRAISE THE SUN: GAME BREAKING BUGS AND STUFF.

...On a serious note:

The game is the first Dark Souls game that I actually througly enjoyed to play through. It is a great game, but be aware that it has some glaring problems at the moment that infuriated me for all the wrong reasons. The most obvious one is the game crashing near bonfires, which can be fixed by changing graphics settings (Set Lighting to Low). However, the game pretty much refuses to remember your new settings, so have fun changing that setting every time you start the game.
