Works great with Linux. cachyOS (KDE - plasma - wayland)

I tried other solutions in Linux but could not get them to work. Try the demo first and see how it goes!

Tested: Farming Sim 25, MSFS 24 and ETS2. All work great using the freetrack (proton) Protocol or now the auto protocol. The dev has made some great improvements and is updating frequently.

Great game. Terrible move by SONY.

And as expected they have backed down on the PSN requirements.

Valheim takes so many great features from other games and rolls them into a beautiful, atmospheric adventure like no other...

The crafting and building is rewarding and simple yet allows for some awesome creativity in your builds.
The art style is simple and the textures are low res but when combined with the amazing lighting and weather system it looks terrific. You really feel grounded in the world, like you belong there.
The music tracks are perfect for the setting and don't get in the way of the game. The ambient sounds are well done and again just fit.
The progression is paced wonderfully as you are gradually unlocking new recipes as you discover new items. If you can avoid looking at YT videos of the game it'll help you keep that sense of achievement as you are rewarded with new tiers of crafting/building.
Boss fights are great and have you exploring and progressing to find the next one, only to discover something else new and exciting that has you side-tracked for hours on end.
It does have a few issues here and there that have cropped up but they are minor for the most part:
- MP desync (which can be lessened greatly with some manual edits of a .DLL)
- A few crashes here or there (Have had 2 in over 70 hours)

In my opinion it's game of the year material. The crazy thing is, it's a $20 early access survival game, which on paper had me saying "Oh, another one of those!" I enjoy a good crafting / building survival game but Valheim just raised the bar with this one.

Get your Viking on!

A day late and a dollar short.
While some may say the battle royale games are over-saturated, I don't think that's the problem here. And while the BR mode is just one of the planned modes for this title, the world in which it exists is just so bland.

The map just feels so lifeless and void of any character that you feel like you are quite literally just running like lemmings to the next random smatterings of buildings or group of other enemy lemmings, just following the circles progression until you either win or lose without the feeling that you have accomplished much of anything.

You loot upgrades in the form of coloured spinning icons to enhance your load-out but it never feels as satisfying as it could, like when you finally find that sweet level 3 helmet or that 4x scope that you need to complete your load out in other titles.

It plays smooth, smoother than Planetside 2, and the gun play is fine but it feel so generic.

If they can add a bit of memorable locals to the map and some diversity to the biomes I think it would help. Think, Titled Towers, Pochinki or Cherno. They allow the players to follow a short journey every match and it gives great talking points post-match as well.

5/10

What an amazing and exhilarating game!
At first glace it appears to be a climbey type game, not that that is a bad thing as climbey is terrific, but this is a whole other experience. Once you 'get it' you'll be griinning and whooping as you leap from crazy heights and pull off some incredible parkour style moves through a wide range of beautiful and varied levels all to the beat of a wicked soundtrack. Awesome tracks!
At the time of this review i'm just over 7 hours in and have been trying to collect 100% on each level before I move on. I just progressed to the medium levels tonight and i'm just blown away at the creative level design and the challenges to get the hidden collectables...(F you Ruins hidden Geom).
This is certainly a game that must be experinced in VR to appreciate and while the videos and screenshots are nice, it can never prepare you for the thrill ride this game is. I highly recommend you pick this up if the idea of propelling yourself through, over, under and around massive levels to try and nail a fast run or grab those elusive hidden collectables sounds fun.
It's like Sonic the Hedgehog hooked up with Mario, went to lunch in Mirror's Edge and ordered an extra large plate of Ninja Frogger smothered in Rock n Roll sauce!
Well done Electric Hat Games! You have a real Geom here. ;)

Warning! If you are afraid of heights, this game will test your vertigo threshhold for sure. Use it to overcome your fears! And yes, I said Ninja Frogger.

I'll just reiterate what has been said by so many here.

What an amazing game and community!

Fast paced fun, brilliant menu/lobby system, polished visuals and sounds, and the teleport mechanic is perfect for this game.

So stop reading, buy this game and start uhh...throwing your balls in someones face? Yeah!!

What a gem! The levels start off fairly easy, which let's you get comfortable with the mechanics, but it quickly gets chaotic in the kitchen. My GF and I had a blast with this game (level 20 so far). You'll quickly find out if you have good communication skills with your other half.

"I said TWO #10's and a single with ketchup!", she yells from across the diner.

"That's what I made, right?...wait...ahhh crap, I forgot the cucumber! And what does that guy near the window want?", he queries.

"Oh @#$%, I didn't see him come in!"

"Two #10's and a single with ketchup at the pass! Ding! Ding! Ding!", he snickers.

A fun game solo for sure but this shines in local multiplayer! Thankfully the dishes are virtual in this one guys! ;)

Simple intuitive controls, perfect artstyle for this type of game (similar to job sim), challenging levels, endless mode for highscore chasers and a wicked catchy soundtrack. Plus the scale and height of the kitchen is fully adjustable for all sizes.

Get it!

Ding! Ding!

Well ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ done!

Beautiful graphics. The atmosphere and immersion is incredible. The audio is well done and the voice acting is top shelf! I just had to tap out for the night as I was starting to panic a bit! Whew!

Running very smooth on a GTX970 OC'd slightly and paired with an old i5 3570K which is OC'd to 4Ghz.

Colour me impressed! Well done devs!

Pros
-Beatiful modelling and textures
-rewarding gun play and katana swinging
-immersive as ♥♥♥♥
-audio is well done
-the teleportion effect is great
-voice acting is both funny and well done
-runs beautifully on a low spec VR rig on high to ultra settings and 1.2 SS (in game)
-loading screens and menus are the best ive seen in VR to date

Cons
-the haptic feedback could use some loving (its weak atm)
-i am now terrified of sneaky ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ robots

It's early days but this game is, in my opinion, a must have. Can't wait to demo this one. If my GF isn't afraid of robots yet..she will be soon!

Bravo Survios! And thanks for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ VR nightmares i'm about to endure! ;)

Rust is like a fine wine:

Quite often it is blood red.
After you've been at it a while your head feels funny.
Both can involve getting smashed.
Clothing is optional.

Actually it's nothing like a fine wine....it's more like brain surgery but without the years of schooling, steady hands and precision needed to...you know...operate on someones brain.

Bahhh....just play it.
