Fun little game where you get to play an amorphous creature whose goal is to escape a secret facility while slaughtering and eating through those who imprisoned you.

A buddy of mine gifted me this game despite my misgivings and I got to say it has been the best thing about 2020 by far. The setting is rich and detailed - there is always something new to discover. The NPCs in the Wastelanders update are interesting and I can't imagine what it was like playing in a dead world without them.

That said, there are issues with the game, for example the Perk system is annoying and has you constantly changing out perks to suit whatever you're doing. When a game event occurs there is little warning and you usually end up not having time to change your perks to match it. The weapon systems are a mess and make no sense - how does changing the type of magazine change whether your ammo is armor piercing or some other ammo type? Also, there is no weapon condition monitor on the HUD so you can be taken by surprise when your weapon breaks during a fightfight.

Still, the pros of the game outweight the cons and as my game time shows I've more than gotten my buddy's money's worth out of the game.

For a freemium click game this isn't too bad and reintroduces old Forgotten Realms characters to a new generation. Give a go and see if you like it.

I admit, I bought this game because I was curious and it was on a 50% off sale. It was less than 50 cents - I'd spent more on trying Black Jack chewing gum. That should have warned me right there, because like Black Jack, it left a bad taste in my mouth.

I thought that the game had to have [i[something[/i] of substance. Surely it couldn't just be mindless repetitive clicking. Oh how wrong I was. Tragically and painfully wrong. There is no gameplay, just mouse clicking. Never since the creation of 'The Kill Everyone Project' at Homokaasu has there been such a pointless expression of futility, and at least that "game" had the benefit of a (slow) moving target and a, such as it was, story.

I know I could request Steam remove the game from my library and simply eat the cost. But then I couldn't post this review here and hopefully save someone the regret and shame I deserve. Save your money, buy a pack of black licorice gum that looks and tastes of gasoline-covered asphalt.

Early Access Review
Despite being Early Access and still in Alpha, the game is very playable and enjoyable. The horde events every seven days keep you from becoming complacent. You can't simply fortify one location into a perfect and impenetrable fortress. You've got to be constantly repairing and improving your defenses while scavenging for resources while fending off attacks from zombies and feral animals. Combined with the fully destructable terrain 7 Days to Die is the zombie survival game we've been waiting for.

Great 4-player co-op game with lots of options and interesting heists. Plus a bevy of awesome characters with individual voice acting. Sure, it's a bit daunting to get into with all the DLC, but for the most part it's worth it.

This game isn't really the sort of game I play. After hearing how Unfold Games threw down an unwinable challenge to EGS and Tim Sweeney however, I had to tip my hat to them and give them encouragement in the most effective way possible - by buying the game at full price.

I'll try to give this game its due by playing it in the future and writing a proper review. But for now, all I can do is say thank you to Unfold Games for being faithful to their customers and gamers everywhere.

Fun digital version of the classic boardgame. The music sets a really good atmosphere and while the multiplayer is a little clunky, it's still playable.

While it is nice that Gearbox made a new DLC for a seven year old game, it doesn't really add much more than achievements and a new game mechanic that is essentially a stack that doesn't involve skills. The fact that they released this DLC initially for free screams 'Damage Control' in the wake of the exclusivity debacle that has been coming back to bite devs in recent weeks.

Be warned though, if you haven't played through the Telltale Games 'Tales from the Borderlands' there is a spoiler in this related to a voice actor no longer being capable of performing the character anymore. It's a real pity as the character was hilarious and fun. But at least they left the series well.

However, another voice actor was changed as well and the difference is striking. Some may like the change, others won't. I personally don't really care for it now, but it may grow on me later. This change is also indicative of the instability currently plaguing Gearbox. If the company was stable they would have realized that giving the voice actor what he wanted is a small price to pay to avoid the negative press it generated. Again, this makes me think that this DLC is little more than damage control.

Bottom line however is the DLC is more of the same BL2 game. If you enjoyed BL2, you will like this. The humor is still there and is tempered with just the right amout of melodrama. It's also good to see these characters again after a few years. Overall, it's worth the price of admission, whether it's free or five bucks.

This is a great soundtrack for a great game, but unfortunately I can't recommend it. Unlike the GoG version, it is a much higher bitrate, but it is missing the Credits theme which was the half the reason why I bought this soundtrack. Until the complete soundtrack is released I can not recommend this DLC.
