F2P MMO
Palia's open world feels like an MMO-version of Genshin Impact - where anyone can join in on fishing, mining, foraging or hunting adventures. There is also a nod to Stardew Valley, with a focus on community and NPC relationships.

The story is unique so far, and the decorating system is a strong highlight, offering tons of customisation options that make every home feel truly personal.

On the downside, while the open world feels reminiscent of Genshin, it can feel a bit clunky, though it's still in open beta. The graphics have a Fortnite vibe (personal opinion) - not a deal breaker, but something to note.

Overall, it's a cozy and promising game with plenty of charm.

Early Access Review
I rarely post reviews, but I think this one deserves it.

* The writing style of how some of the characters speak doesn't change the quality of actual gameplay, and does not diminish the potential of the game. If you can look past their usage of emojis, the personalities are unique to each other.

* I personally think that the NPCs/gods offering blessings are a highlight that featuure well-crafted and poetic dailogue. ( and I always love a game where around 80% of the lines are fully voiced ).

* Although some criticise the skills being underwhelming, I find the current variety just right. Every run feels different which keeps the gameplay dynamic and exciting ( especially when you like achievement hunting).

Considering it's still in early access, very optimistic about the potential for even more diverse /enhanced skills.

TLDR; if you can look past the unconventional weriting style of your chartacters and appreciate the developed personalities/varied skills, the early access offers a promising experience :)))

Forager is a good stepping stone into the genre of automation, base-building, resource management type of game. The game starts off very simple with easy-to-understand/learn mechanics. The more you forage, the more items you craft, and the more recipes you unlock, the speed of the game increases. The game smoothly transitions itself to endgame, which I find really easy to play.

This game is a play-at-your-own speed which is what I like personally. It's also a really good game to play while you're in queue for other games such as Overwatch, League of Legends and/or other games that makes you wait to find a match.

However, it is not a perfect game and lacks other simple controls all games you'd think would have. This includes not having the option to increase the amount of items to craft in increments- forcing you to machine-gun click to craft 3000x of one item (basically forcing you to get arthritis). There are options of 'Half' or 'Max', but if you wanted a specific number; it becomes a problem. Inventory tools are also locked into your toolbar which is quite annoying when you have plenty.

The developer is constantly on the works for updates and is quite communicative to the public which is most definitely a pro of a game.

It is overall a great and (definitely) a satisfying game, and I recommend it (even if you don't think you're into games of automation/resource management. I wasn't a fan of games like those until I tried pixel/cute/fun/casual Forager). The economy of the game is very easy-going especially for newbies like me.

A solid 4.5 stars from me!

I would only recommend this game if you don't mind paywalls and/or you are not gunning for 100% completion of the game with achievements. Otherwise, don't waste your time. I'm overall disappointed with this version of Doodle God. There are some pros and cons to the game, but personally I think the cons overweigh the pros by a landslide.

Pros:
• The graphics are simplistic, clean, organised and easy for the eyes.
• The controls and the navigation between all the buttons were easy.

Cons:
• You are unable to complete 100% of the achievements simply due to the fact that the developers have put up a paywall in order to continue with each chapter or 'episode'.
• There is an 'energy' feature in this game that hinders players to express their imagination and creativity without restrictions.
• The DLC to complete the achievements are expensive, and not worth it. It is money wiser to spend on something better.
• Each DLC can be bought by in game money for 1500 coins. Coins are hard to get especially for people who have poor memory as you have to memorise each recipe and beat other people in a time limit. First place every 24 hours grants 100 coins. This means you can only get 100 coins every day. 15 days for 1 expansion.

I found LostWinds to be a really enjoyable casual game, and was definitely worth the money.

• The controls were not hard to grasp, I'm sure a child new to games can handle the controls.
• The story consistently kept me interested in the game.
• I applaud the beautiful graphics and art/design that went into this game.
• All the achievements made for LostWinds is doable, I would definitely recommend this game if you have yet to complete a game's full list of achievements.
• Plenty of save slots as I recall.

All round a very great game in my books.

Holy crap, this is one of, if not, the best games I've ever played.
