I played this game about a year ago when it was on a free weekend, and it was a ♥♥♥♥ game. I played it now, year after, after a so-called "big patch" and it's still ♥♥♥♥.

Servers let me join and play the actual game in 1 out of 10 attempts, even when I forwarded ports for the game in my router/network settings.

In terms of gameplay, there are still the same bad 3rd person animations, even worse 1st person animations, some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ misty/smoke thing made specially to cut your view distance in the game, weapons feel clunky and unrealistic.


P.S. Once I crashed and the error message told me, that my PC ran out of video memory. Using the medium settings. And a 4gb video card.
Yeah, sure :D

P.P.S. If you want immersive WW2 gameplay with Waffen SS and American/British Paratroopers - then go get the Post Scriptum

Updating my review after trying this game yet again on latest free weekend.
My PC specs hasn't changed from the last time.
Game definitely got better in terms of performance, optimization and overall ingame visibility. Hell Let Loose now provides a really smooth gaming experience in a WW2 setting. Still not so realistic as a Post Scriptum, but unlike Post Scriptum - Hell Let Loose has a stable amount of players online and is not a dead game at all.

Updating my review once again after recent patches. Game became an actual lagfest once again with insane bugs that the New Dev Team can't fix while they are focused on monetizing the game more then quality of life changes. New British faction is really Mid at most with a strange choice of weapons for classes, inability to mount Bren MG on Bipod, and overall controversial meta changes.
It's really sad for me to change my review on this game for the third time. While Black Matter Games actually made a good WW2 game, new Team 17 just ruined it so fast that it's just impossible to realize.
