I hate this game.

Join hands with your protagonist in shared frustration, confusion, and heartbreak. Every death and defeat is shared between yourself and the character and it builds this sense of immersion and empathy that really hits different. Slowly caving in to the speed up conversation button, slowly accepting that your beautiful, bright and vibrant friends will always follow their script, slowly watching his world change from something he has to save to something he needs to survive is as harrowing as it should be.
I'm a sucker for personal struggles, and this game is the perfect execution of that.

I love me a city-builder, but I'm pretty ♥♥♥♥ at them. This one actually has me slowly working my way up to higher difficulties as it really respects your time when trying to learn the mechanics. There is so many approaches you can take towards creating a successful settlement that you can choose not to engage too much with any mechanics you find confusing, and approach them later when your broader knowledge of the game is more robust. The levels range from short and punchy to drawn out and tense depending on your terrain and difficulty setting and even when you lose the game still rewards you for seeing it through. Truly marvellous.

The closest I've felt to doing an actual jigsaw since my goblin cat started eating the pieces and i had to do away with the physical hobby for good.

I wonderful dive into a well told tale. Loved the simplicity of the game play, allowed for focus on the narrative and the characters.
It was also really cool to look into my childhood years in a country so foreign to mine(Australia) and still feel the nostalgia.
