Пока что стоит каждого рубля, в качестве продолжения GFL1/GFL2 читать очень интересно. Правда пока что "нормальная" сложность кажется слишком лёгкой, но думаю это пройдёт чуть дальше по сюжету :)

It was good - maybe a bit repetitive at times, but still, a breath of fresh air! New mechanics are good, voice acting is good, soundtrack 10/10, environmental design is awesome, plot is alright, chambers... the difficulty felt kinda inconsistent. Easy, easy, /hard/, medium, easy until the end of the game.

Overall, it's good with some very minor downsides. Good job guys, thanks for the treat!

Allows 4090 to truly shine

Finished using RTX 3070 on 527.56 driver (2560x1440) / Ryzen 5 5600X setup

With a bunch of experience in the base game, I gotta say... lighting looked nice as long as nothing was happening in the scene and I didn't move my mouse

To make it PLAYABLE I had to set DLSS Performance preset, which introduced a lot of trailing and weirdness on far distances, and it was still less than stable 60 FPS which made me want to vomit

I might be wrong here, but it feels like for whatever reason item pickup range in this version is nerfed to like 0.5 meters and movement is slow af, almost as if Chell has a lot of inertia

Achievements. Idk how these work at all. I got "Partygoer" without assuming any positions in the end, yet no "Lab Rat" after picking up the other part of portal gun - wtf?! (and no, sv_cheats was never set to 1 in entire playthrough)

And last but not least, what a lot of others here noted already... Lightspeed Studios has completely ruined the Portal aesthetics. It almost feels like these cheap Unity games where lowpoly free assets live along with highpoly transparent megaassets. Imo, there was no need to make everything SO SHINY, there was no need to replace Portal's concrete textures with Portal 2 ones. Waiting for modding teams to fix this (unless devs themselves understand what have they done) and waiting for performance improvements.

Ohh, almost forgot! It crashed on every little change I made in settings and even on Alt+Tab. While Alt+Tab part can be worked around by switching to windowed borderless, there's nothing you can do about settings

TL;DR: So far, it failed both as a remake and an advertisment for RTX/Omniverse Kit, lets hope for updates

Odyssey is an early access release, and the way FDev handles it is a huge spit towards playerbase
This spoonfeeding of info about planned fixes because they have no plan how to fix everything is just sickening, there's no acknowledgment that UI is terrible, that FPS is lower on all PCs and not just some, and that they forced the release
I'll probably just return it until Odyssey gets all the neccesary fixes
