I like it so far, it's pretty easy to pick up and modifiers add plenty of options to increase difficulty. Theres decent variety between enemy types and objectives, and boss fights are engaging. I've only played solo.

Too punishing/grindy for my taste. A quick recap of my 2 hours of gameplay: a very(!) brief tutorial that, the moment you explore and encounter actual combat, makes you realize it barely taught you anything at all. Got surprise attacked by stalkers and pummeled to death on turn 1, reload and I manage to beat the fight because I got lucky and scored critical hits. After the fight I had to use almost all the medical supplies you start with (which means you need to walk home after every single encounter to resupply). Killed some rathounds, which compared to the stalkers are ridiculously easy, as being attacked by 3 at once only does 10% of your HP. Stepped on a mine while walking, which was only revealed when it was one tile away from me, and died... the only way to avoid that is by only moving 1 tile at a time, because your character's pathing does not adjust to avoid traps.

Combat and movement is super wonky, all characters wobble around like wet noodles. The game has a ton of cool mechanics that all try to give a realistic and hardcore setting, yet the game plays like a goofy arcade game. That's not necessarily a bad thing, it just wasn't what I was looking for. I can see why others would have fun with this game, but I wouldn't personally recommend it .

TLDR: Very clunky and boring gameplay.

For example, you cannot move while attacking and are forced to move in the direction you attack. So if you run to the right and attack to the left (while still holding down the button to move right) your character will move to the left until you stop attacking.
Another example is crafting/building. First you have to press C enable build mode, then pres RMB to open a build menu, then LMB on what you want to build, then LMB again on the tile you want to build it on (which you have to be adjacent to), then press C again to disable build mode.
Progression is lame and for the most part is just x% more dmg, x% more loot, x%more durability. Abilities are tied to your weapon, so unless you are a veteran and know exactly where to go/what to do you will be stuck with only 1 ability for a vast majority of your time.
Bought the game on the release and was very quickly dissapointed, played it again for a couple of hours after 2 years and the game doesn't seem to have moved an inch.

Way too much RNG. I've only played on the 2nd easiest 'Reasonable' difficulty, and even so I abandon ~95% of my runs, most within a few minutes. I get planet layouts where I can almost instantly see that I can't complete the mission goals (in campaign mode) or get an above average score (standard mode). In the remaining 1 out of 20 games everything fits together perfectly and I get a super high score. It just feels frustrating to play and takes the fun out of it. I'm not a strategic mastermind, but the developer has described 'Reasonable' as a difficulty "for anyone and everybody", and there are even 2 additional difficulties above this one.

The game recently got its final update, which means that the level of RNG will stay the same. I managed to get 1 star (out of 3) on the first mission, once, when campaign mode was added to the game long ago. I have failed or abandoned all other attempts at a higher score and also for the 2nd mission. All other missions are locked and require you to complete each mission in order, so I can't even try those.

If you like hyper management games then I guess it's fun to play. You'll constantly be bombarded with crew tasks that you manually have to assign them to, but before you can even assign a crew member to a task, or complete one, then 2-4 new tasks will pop up. It just felt frustrating, especially as a new player. They put small hints in the game, to help you on how to complete tasks, but before I can even read the hint a new task/hint pops up.

Actually a decent game, I like the core gameplay, but currently very RNG heavy. RNG aside, the biggest reason for my thumbs down is that the game offers a lot options for interacting with the game (enemies, gold, spells) but punishes the player for choosing those options. The only way to have a decent chance of winning is by taking the safest and most boring route. This means always picking up health potions and shields over gold (to get items) and mana (to cast spells) and attacking as few enemies as possible and always the weakest enemies.

It's like walking into a candy store, but if you try to get out with more than 1 piece of candy you get none... If I was a toddler in need of parenting it could arguably be a good thing, but it's a video game and I'm an adult who wants have fun.

Overall an enjoyable game, but too short and unpolished. The game runs very poorly for its minimalistic graphics and has a few bugs (not getting achievements, locked tasks that can't be completed, bird species that can't be found or birds sitting still in mid-air on invisible tree branches). The music was really nice, but also very short like the game, songs last anywhere between 10-30 seconds.

Game is abandoned, sadly.
