the movement feels great! very responsive (some minor gripes with wallrun aside, it still feels somewhat inconsistent)

some of the levels, particularly the fish chases where you have a freedom of options to reach the fish, or the small sandboxes where you're asked to find a variety of ways to reach coins with minimal penalty for failure: very fun, amazing ways to explore the game's movement tools!

the vertical level designs can feel *extremely* frustrating, with each attempt at a sequence of jumps being an annoying setback that has you repeating the whole, or spending minutes clambering back to the point you want to retry. Even making your way back to unlocked checkpoints can feel tedious. A lot of these sequences feel like they tend towards reaching the very limitations of your movement tools, rather than being open to a variety of methods of traversal.

while I'm not against these tighter sequences in idea, having them punish you so hard, and making you spend so long getting back for each attempt at learning what the game wants you to do, is not fun!

maybe i'm just tired of the abundance of empty open worlds in games, but it would be very nice to have quick travel between points of interest once they're reached, or a way to quickly revisit ones you way to attempt again later. honestly i just kinda want a level select, spending minutes with unwiedly controls going between challenges that use the actual platforming toolkit of the game isn't very interesting as is.

at the moment; i can't recommend this demo to anyone except those who want a punishingly difficult 3d platformer. i tried letting my more casual friends play it, and each floundered even with the initial areas (mostly because of the strange wallrun)

anything neat this game had going for it is ruined by the crass, gratingly-horny 'humor'. The story itself is more about 'whoa cool twist' rather than actually saying anything meaningful. Read umineko or play disco elysium instead

an unfinished, unchallenging game. Doesn't know if it wants to focus on platforming on being an rpg. Most battles turn into the exact same sequence of inputs over and over again. Promised characters will never be delivered. Even the writing is bland

It took me ~450 hours (plus a couple hundred more in the beta) to realize that maybe I don't like this game so much, and that's okay.

This game is geat - if you're a fan of Mahvel, or any fast-paced reset-based fighting games, there are years of effort and love poured into Skullgirls. The animation is fluid, the characters are all viable, the backgrounds are beautiful, the voice-acting is all high quality (much love to SovietZ), the team options and combo system allow for freedom of invention, and the resets get downright nasty. The team behind it has put in every quality-of-life improvement you've always wanted in your fighting games - rematches are fast, netplay is simple, css is quick to navigate. I've gotten more than my money's worth from this game, and even if it's not the game for me (there are just other games where I peronally have more fun in the neutral), I'm grateful for the time I had with it.

For a brief summary of the game:
You are a tiny man. You must climb the tower. The tower and its denizens will kill you. Lots.

This game is incredibly fun, and infinitely replayable. Levels are randomly generated with each character, and death is permanent (save for limited revive potions you can obtain). The challenge is always new, and always tests your skill.

There is so much love and attention to detail packed into the game. The core mechanics and progression are solid, and optional, hidden areas provide plenty of additonal challenge. The community is open and friendly (the devs and players *will* stop by if you stream)

In all, this game is fun. With yourself, with friends in co-op, with Zardo chasing after you. If you like platformers and want a challenge, this is the game. (plus, with talks of a level-creator to be released eventually, there's no worry of you ever running out of things to do)
