It is clearly evident that Techland put a lot of effort and time into making this game, and made an attempt to connect the story line with the future events of what occurred in Dying Light, with subtle references to one of their previous series' Dead Island.

I believe majority of people who have played Dying Light 2 can agree upon the story and dialogue being below mediocre, boring and painful to experience. The characters that you will meet will never be built upon enough to create a connection with, as they lack emotion or depth of personality, and when characters are killed, I could honestly not give a ♥♥♥♥ because they gave the appearance of empty bodies that splurge out useless dialogue during cut scenes.

However, the movement and combat mechanics that are used are amazing, giving you a lot of ways to traverse around the world, utilising anything that you can find whether it be in combat, or to climb across buildings as fast as possible. This really is what carried the game for me, because without these being properly incorporated, the game would progress much slower and lack it's unique elements of smooth parkour.

Overall, while the story is lacking a lot of character development, a satisfying ending, and dialogue that doesn't make you want you to kill yourself, the other aspects such as combat and movement really carry the game. So, if you are looking for a game with a good story and characters that you can create connections with, I would not recommend this. If you are looking for a game with fun combat and movement mechanics, and gore filled combo attacks, then I would definitely recommend this game.
