This game feels like a joke that you're not in on.

Imagine complaining about the lack of prosthetic fingers available on the market after surviving a mass-extinction event where you are only one of a few thousand living organisms left on a now-frozen Earth.

Devs completely understand mankind. 11/10.

Purchase only on sale, definitely not worth $15.00 USD. If you're looking for a Firewatch or What Remains of Edith Finch type narrative, you will be greatly disappointed. This is a shallow, ~2 1/2 hour snooze-fest at best. The main story feels like it was written by an adolescent for an introductory English class; all sources of miscellaneous plot devices and subplots are ignored, forgotten, and left in the sand by the end of the game (cliche red herrings galore).

In a genre so dark and filled with the despair associated with late-stage capitalist sprawl (and cybernetics, of course), Dystopika is the light at the end of the tunnel that is commonly found in Cyberpunk titles. Relaxing, calm, everything you would not expect to find in a city builder within the very genre that spawned the TTRPG of the same name, Cyberpunk 2077, Blade Runner, etc.

Gameplay is fluid, as if you're dynamically painting on a 3D canvas that only allows the palette of towering mega-complexes and neon lights to take form. I should also note that the artistic style of Dystopika does well to not overdo the nuances of the genre - the balance between east-Asian commercialism and western Brutalist architecture is perfect. It does not come off as "cartoony" or satirical, yet does not take itself too seriously. This is a passion project from someone who is enamored with the Cyberpunk aesthetic, and it shows. With that being said, I would like to see a little more variety in the buildings you can place and maybe more weather options.

This is a passion project of a solo dev that only costs $7.00 USD (the total cost of an expansion/DLC in Cities: Skylines) and given the masterclass representation this game gives to the Cyberpunk genre, I have to recommend this game. Whether you enjoy chill city builders, creative sandboxes, or have a taste for Cyberpunk cues: this is a great game to relax and let your creative juices flow. 10/10.

My great grandchildren will love this game at full release.

Edit: Each clown award = 1 more decade added to PZ's development :-(

When a man looks down the barrel of a fully loaded semi-automatic rifle held in the hands of an insurgent, he defecates on the floor. When a man of science looks down the very same barrel, he not only defecates - but uses it as nourishment in the form of a soup. Be a man of science.

Playing The Sims 4 is what it feels like to snort cement. You try it at first for a few hours and definitely enjoy it, but then temporarily lose the ability to breathe through your nose - until you wait a few months and try it again.

Avoid 2K as if it were a plague, they're owned by Tencent and will share your email at will. Read the EULA and save yourself from this shoddy, greedy company.

Great game; developers truly care for their work - albeit with an extremely small team. One of the only teams to remind me of when video games were more than mere cash-grabs, but products of pure passion.
