60h in and still fun! I have seen less then 50% of the content and map yet, there is a ♥♥♥♥ ton to explore in this game, QoL Features around Building and Tribesman are fantastic, will miss them in other games. Fights can be challenging, you definetly have to be prepared for bigger Fights.
The game can be grindy, but there are also a lot of settings to counter this and make the game the way u like to play it.

contra - ai of tribesman sometimes fail and the pathfinding also needs some tweaks and improvements, but overall im still positiv about the ai


TLDR - for EA absolutely recommended.

EARLY ACCESS - some people still dont understand what that means. If the game would have been filled with flaws and wouldnt have as much content as it offers right now i would understand statements as "it got released too early".
But actually it has to offer a lot of content, especially for the people who enjoy crafting and building as much as i am. Its no simple crafting tho, you need to be willed to learn all the possibilties and only then u will be able to craft the best gear possible.
There is kind of a gameloop going through the mainquestline which will unlock some recipes, give u mats and essences. to be able to craft everything u have to visit the essence traders, travel the world, solve puzzles and finish different kind of mini missions. There are also like dungeons to find, i only found 1 so far but im pretty sure there are more of its kind.
The Game offers a great art design, its handsome and feels fresh.

i also had a handful bugs, minor visual bugs, 2 disconnects and i had to repeat the tutorial because the final realm portal at the swamps wasnt opening for me, this one was the biggest bug which also can be frustrating one, i can understand. But i think for 20 hours and an early access game this should not be a dealbreaker.

For me the most work has to be done with combat, it sometimes feel a bit off and weird, especially the melee combat. But i usually prefer ranged combat over melee, so i can live with that for now. Also the AI of the NPC companion needs work. QoL here and there, and there is'nt a lot left i have to complain about

The Devs are active, communicating a lot. I'm looking forward to future updates and more content.

PRE-LAUNCH (P)review

The game we can play as of right now is not the full version of the game, the release will be on the 30th of November and will contain more content and will ideally be more polished.

As in many reviews stated there are bugs and crashes, for me personally there are only a small amount. Bugs are mostly really minor, like missing text (localization) or messages repeatly popping up. Performance for me is also pretty alright, with RayTracing i get around 30-60 FPS and without 60-100+
Of Course Bugs and also the Performance differ with every Setup. So its hard to tell if u'll have the same experience as i am having right now.

I really enjoying playing darktide already, the core gameplay works and is hell of a lot fun! graphics are nice, physics, gore, the enemies and maps also, but the elite and special could take a touch up. Sometimes there are really hard to spot and hard to differ between the types of specials and elites. Overall this game can over time get a pretty potent successor of vermintide 2.

For maximum fun take a friend or 3 and rock & stone! ;P

Its my best Steam Deal yet. Its incredibly fun to play, alone and with friends or strangers. You have alots of Levels and Gamemodes to play. via steam workshop the community creates epic maps aswell, there is allways new stuff to play.

The Game has a huge Collecting & Trading Feature also. U earn Gems and yarn balls. With the gems u are able to unlock hundrets of heads (prisoners) and with the yarn u can unlock guns. All this stuff u can trade ingame with friends or strangers, u can buy and sell them via steam community market and trade via steam inventory also.

all in all i can recommend this game to everyone who search for a fun plattformer to who search for a fun co-op game (online & local)

If i need to rate this game from 0-100 i would give it a 85-90!
